Achieving optimal performance in competitive shooters, such as Marvel Rivals, is essential for success. One crucial aspect of enhancing your gameplay involves adjusting the FPS settings appropriately.
Optimal PC Settings for Marvel Rivals
The first step in this process is navigating to the in-game settings. While certain high-end PCs can comfortably manage enhanced graphical settings without experiencing FPS drop-offs, it’s important to note that most competitive players benefit from using the lowest settings possible.
Focusing on graphics is less important than recognizing small details in team-based gameplay. Fortunately, Marvel Rivals is designed to perform well across a range of systems; however, additional tweaks can help you maximize your FPS.
To start, access the game’s main menu by clicking the gear icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
This action will open the settings menu, where the default tab is “Display.” This is the section where we’ll make the initial adjustments.
It’s crucial to enable the following settings:
- Set your resolution to 1920×1080. Regardless of your computer’s capabilities, running the game in 4K is unnecessary for optimal FPS.
- Ensure the display mode is set to Fullscreen, as this option typically yields better performance than “Borderless Windowed.”
- For anti-aliasing, choose DLSS if you possess an NVIDIA graphics card. Opt for Xess with Intel cards and FSR for AMD systems.
- Disable V-Sync. Although it’s common to enable V-Sync to stabilize performance, it can cap your FPS, which we aim to maximize.
When it comes to in-game graphics settings, simplicity is key: set the graphics quality to low. Avoid trying to customize based on your computer’s capacity, as this could negatively impact your frame rate.
Previously, some players achieved remarkably high FPS using a Pastebin file. However, NetEase has since started banning accounts using these methods, and recent updates have lessened the effectiveness of such hacks. We strongly advise against downloading any Pastebin files to alter system settings for FPS.
How to Display FPS In-Game
What’s the value of maximizing your FPS if you cannot view it? Fortunately, you can enable the FPS display within the same settings menu.
Ensure the “Show FPS” option is toggled on, indicated by a checkmark next to it. This will allow you to monitor your FPS during matches.
You’ll notice that your FPS is typically higher when there’s minimal on-screen action, as shown in the example below:
With these settings, achieving over 100 FPS is realistic—even in the heart of team fights and skirmishes. A more robust computer will naturally yield better FPS results.
Following these guidelines will help you configure your settings for an optimal FPS experience in Marvel Rivals!
