The 2025 Xbox Excellence Awards: Celebrating Standout Titles

For the second consecutive year, Xbox has unveiled the recipients of its prestigious Xbox Excellence Awards, showcasing a total of 20 titles across four distinct categories. While many games have returned for a repeat recognition, this year’s list features only 55 unique games, underscoring their exceptional performance on the platform. Notable entries include ARC Raiders, Battlefield 6, Helldivers 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, each of which emerged as top sellers on Xbox in 2025.

The complete list of award-winning games was published alphabetically in a news release on Xbox Wire. However, the release does not disclose the rankings within categories such as Store Rating, Player Engagement, Daily Active Users, and Units Sold.

Category Insights

It’s worth noting that no game achieved recognition in all four categories. The notable titles Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Borderlands 4 managed to appear in three categories. However, each title missed out in one area; Borderlands 4 did not make the Store Rating category, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was absent from the Player Engagement category.

Among the other key performers listed for Units Sold, Elden Ring: Nightreign, Monster Hunter Wilds, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered stand out as significant entries alongside the previously mentioned games.
