The upcoming Honkai Star Rail 2.6 patch will showcase a variety of Light Cones (LCs), divided into two distinct phases. In total, four LCs will be obtainable, but only one will be entirely new. Along with the introduction of Acheron, DHIL (Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae), and Aventurine’s banners during this update, their corresponding Light Cones will also be obtainable during the respective phases.
Considering that many players prioritize Light Cones over character selection, it’s natural for Trailblazers to seek out the most valuable LCs to pull. In this guide, we’ll evaluate and rank the 5-star Light Cones set to appear in the Honkai Star Rail 2.6 update.
Light Cone Rankings for Honkai Star Rail 2.6
As revealed in the special program livestream for Honkai Star Rail 2.6, four 5-star characters will be prominent throughout the update. Correspondingly, their signature Light Cones will be made available during the character banners.
The list below ranks the 5-star Light Cones strictly based on their effectiveness in the current meta of HoYoverse’s gacha system:
4) Brighter Than the Sun
Brighter Than the Sun, the Light Cone associated with Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, ranks lowest in terms of current meta value. While it provides a minor increase to CRIT Rate and ATK for Destruction characters, the majority of meta units rely on Break Effect. Therefore, this LC is not optimal for collection in Honkai Star Rail 2.6.
Though some Destruction characters can utilize it, its effectiveness diminishes when equipped on DHIL. If you aren’t planning to acquire DHIL, it’s prudent to refrain from spending Stellar Jades on this Light Cone.
3) Inherently Unjust Destiny
Coming in at third is Aventurine’s Light Cone, Inherently Unjust Destiny. Although Aventurine is an impressive addition to the game, the effectiveness of this LC is somewhat limited due to its low compatibility with other Preservation characters. Most other Preservation units differ significantly in gameplay style from Aventurine.
This 5-star Light Cone provides an appealing boost to CRIT DMG and DEF, yet the additional CRIT DMG is largely wasted on Preservation characters who typically deal low damage. Aventurine’s unique capability to deliver shields while inflicting damage sets him apart.
2) Ninjutsu Inscription: Dazzling Evilbreaker
Ninjutsu Inscription: Dazzling Evilbreaker, Rappa’s signature Light Cone, stands out as one of the top options in Honkai Star Rail 2.6. Rappa’s ability to inflict BE (Break Effect) damage is significantly boosted by this LC, making it an exceptional match for her combat style.
Given the current meta alignment with Rappa’s playstyle, many players will likely seek her out. Additionally, this LC can benefit other Erudition characters, especially Qingque, who excels in dealing damage through Basic ATK mechanics.
1) Along the Passing Shore
The ideal Light Cone to draw during Honkai Star Rail 2.6 is Along the Passing Shore. This is Acheron’s best-in-slot (BiS) LC, greatly enhancing her damage output. Unlike many other Nihility DPS characters, Acheron’s skills scale effectively with both ATK and CRIT stats, making this LC perfectly suited for her abilities.
Moreover, it remains useful for other Nihility characters by applying debuffs that amplify damage taken by enemies, enabling characters like Kafka and Black Swan to effectively utilize this Light Cone.
If Acheron is among your characters, you should definitely pursue this LC without hesitation in Honkai Star Rail 2.6.
