However, it’s crucial to evaluate fuel efficiency, especially if you aim to maximize your ore smelting while exploring away from your base. Fortunately, Hytale offers a generous selection of fuel types, particularly in terms of availability and the effectiveness of the most common fuels.

Optimal Furnace Fuel in Hytale

Based on extensive testing, we have identified basic wooden logs or trunks of any variety as the most efficient fuel source for Furnaces in Hytale. Our experiments involved using Tier 2 Furnaces to smelt Cobalt Ores with various fuel types, yielding the following results:

100 Charcoal produces approximately 33 Cobalt Ingots.
100 Sticks yield around 22 Cobalt Ingots.
100 Amber Logs result in about 50 Cobalt Ingots, utilizing only 70 logs in total.

While Plant Fibers can also function as fuel, they tend to be inefficient for ore smelting. It’s advisable to utilize them for crafting recipes where they are more beneficial.
