Top 5 Reasons to Acquire Rappa in Honkai: Star Rail

The initial phase of Honkai Star Rail version 2.6 has officially launched, granting Trailblazers the opportunity to utilize their Stellar Jades to summon either Rappa or DHIL. Given DHIL has recently been overshadowed by newer characters, it seems players are more inclined to pursue Rappa during this banner period. Moreover, Rappa’s dominance in the meta due to her Weakness Break damage playstyle is likely to attract many collectors. However, some players may choose to forgo this phase altogether.

This article outlines five compelling reasons why Trailblazers should consider summoning Rappa during the first phase of version 2.6 in Honkai Star Rail.

Reasons to Pull for Rappa in Honkai Star Rail

1) Unique Attack Animations

One of the standout features that make Rappa an appealing character is her distinctive attack animations while in her Sealform state. This mode allows Rappa to conduct three attacks from a first-person perspective, a rare trait among the characters in this HoYoverse gacha game.

In addition, her regular animations are vibrant and attractive, infused with graffiti motifs. As Rappa navigates the battlefield using her technique, she leaves behind a colorful trail that eventually fades away.

2) Excellent Voice Acting in Various Languages

Players have various motivations for pulling for a character, including meta relevance, voice acting quality, or appealing design. In Rappa’s case, her voice lines resonate with many Trailblazers, prompting them to invest their Stellar Jades.

Kendell Byrd lends her voice to Rappa in the English version, while Megumi Han voices her in Japanese. Players may recognize Megumi Han from her performance as Arima Kana in the popular drama series, Oshi no Ko.

3) Outstanding Damage Dealer in the Current Meta

For players lacking DPS characters with Weakness Break Effect damage, Rappa is an excellent choice to bring into your roster. Her capabilities surpass many other BE units when it comes to inflicting damage across multiple enemies. However, she may not quite match Firefly in sheer damage output.

When contrasted with Boothill, who specializes in single-target damage, Rappa excels in clearing waves of enemies. Therefore, if you already possess characters like Ruan Mei and Gallagher, adding Rappa to your collection becomes a must.

4) A Solid Alternative to Firefly

If Firefly is already part of your lineup and you’re looking for something new, consider Rappa as a viable alternative. Additionally, if you haven’t obtained Firefly but possess characters like Lingsha or Ruan Mei, Rappa currently offers the best option.

Since both Firefly and Rappa utilize the same Relic set and synergistic characters, you can easily switch out Firefly for Rappa and adjust your Relics accordingly. This strategy is practical since you won’t be deploying both DPS characters in the same team, and the options for BE characters are limited.

5) Minimal Risk of Power Creep

One crucial reason to consider pulling for Rappa in Honkai Star Rail is her low likelihood of being overshadowed by newer characters in future updates. As HoYoverse continues to introduce more BE characters, it is improbable that they will outshine her anytime soon.

Notably, teams utilizing DoT characters like Kafka maintain their viability even after a year, indicating that BE teams won’t be losing value anytime in the near future.
