Since participating in the beta phase back in 2015, my experience with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has been extensive. This game reinvented the Rainbow Six legacy with its unique competitive multiplayer approach.
Over the years, the game has undergone significant transformations, particularly with the arrival of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X. While the core mechanics—a 5v5 tactical shooter with defenders focusing on delaying attackers—remain intact, numerous updates have reshaped gameplay. For instance, numerous operators have been introduced and revamped, breathing new life into previously underperforming characters.
10 Smoke
Don’t Ask What’s In The Canister

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Throws toxic gas canisters that are detonated remotely. |
Although Smoke can be challenging to master, he remains an exceptional operator for countering shield operators and excels even against unorthodox strategies. His lethal smoke clouds not only obscure vision but also inflict damage, providing a strategic advantage by hindering enemy advances or eliminating multiple attackers when utilized effectively.
Due to his strengths in area denial and time-wasting, Smoke is best utilized as an anchor, closely stationed near objectives. Armed with the M590A1 shotgun for site fortifications and the SMG-11 sidearm, his lethal prowess is amplified when players can manage recoil effectively.
A skilled Smoke player poses a formidable threat, leaving opponents scrambling to breach bomb sites.
9 Rook
Not In The Face!

Speed | Slow (1) |
Health | Heavy (3) |
Ability | Deploys armor plates that increase health when equipped. |
Although Rook’s contribution may seem marginal in a game where a single headshot can spell doom, he boasts one of the highest win rates among defenders due to his ability to bolster his teammates’ health. Perfectly suited for players needing a bit of a boost in performance, Rook is effective simply by placing armor plates at the beginning of a round.
With access to the P90, known for its high magazine capacity and rapid-fire capabilities, Rook enables players to secure headshots even when luck plays a role. His slower pace makes him an excellent anchor, remaining close to the target locations.
8.Chapter
Bane Of The Forgetful

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Deploys explosive traps on doorways. |
Since his introduction, Kapkan remains a reliable source of free eliminations against inattentive opponents. With the ability to set traps at five doorways, he proves a challenge for players using operators like Twitch or Brava tasked with identifying and disabling them. The inherent pressure on attackers often compels hasty decisions, potentially leading to unfortunate outcomes.
His traps not only serve as lethal instruments but also provide valuable intel about enemy locations, especially when they trigger. This dual-purpose function makes him one of the best choices for players participating in solo-queue matches, enabling them to assist others without relying heavily on team dynamics.
7 Support
Burning Time

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Deploys large canisters that produce fire when destroyed. |
Goyo’s burn canisters exhibit an expansive radius and prolonged burn duration, making him the ultimate stalling operator. His gadgets provide the unique advantage of remaining active post-mortem, allowing continued pressure on opponents. Strategic placement can force intruders to engage with a fiery hazard before breaching.
The primary challenge is that deploying canisters requires forethought, often allowing attackers the chance to scout and neutralize them ahead of time. Goyo effectively serves as an anchor, yet can adapt to various roles given his gadget’s utility beyond his lifetime.
6 Mute
A (Near) Universal Counter

Speed | Slow (1) |
Health | Heavy (3) |
Ability | Deploys jamming devices that disrupt enemy electronics within a radius. |
In a tactical game heavily reliant on electronic devices, Mute’s jammers stand out for countering a variety of operators. They effectively neutralize threats from intel operators such as Dokkaebi and Deimos, hinder hard breachers, and even obstruct uncommon abilities from other operators like Finka.
One of Mute’s strongest features is his capability to render enemy drones ineffective, a vital component of gameplay dynamics. His jamming devices can significantly alter the flow of a match, establishing a defensive advantage when placed effectively. As a slow-moving one-speed operator, Mute excels as an anchor.
5 Berths
It’s Electric!

Speed | Slow (1) |
Health | Heavy (3) |
Ability | Throws a device that electrifies reinforced walls, barbed wire, and deployable shields within its radius. |
Kaid provides an essential defensive strategy, leveraging electrical barriers to deny access to hard breachers. His ability to electrify reinforced surfaces creates dynamic and strategic plays, enabling operators to obstruct breaches creatively.
The jammers can be ingeniously placed, concealed from drones while covering multiple critical access points, including hatches from below. Ideal for a one-speed operator, Kaid excels as an anchor, fortifying key areas against breaches.
4 Maximum
A Bulletproof Choice

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Throws kunai that create bulletproof barriers. |
Azami’s creativity shines in her flexibility. Her barriers create opportunities for innovative plays, altering angles and line of sight while simultaneously frustrating attackers. The unpredictable nature of her gadget forces opponents to allocate time and resources to either dismantle or circumvent her barriers.
As a two-speed operator with a multifunctional ability, Azami adapts to various team roles seamlessly, proving effective whether roaming or anchoring. Her gadgets facilitate escapes or contribute to drawing out enemy action, making her suitable for diverse strategies, including Dual Front.
3 Valkyrie
All Seeing Eyes

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Throws small cameras that stick to surfaces. |
In a tactical setting such as Siege, the value of intel cannot be emphasized enough. Valkyrie’s ability to deploy hidden cameras enhances her team’s situational awareness, creating opportunities for strategic advantages. These cameras activate when in use, making them difficult to detect without specialized operators like IQ.
Valkyrie’s reconnaissance capabilities significantly bolster a team’s defensive play, allowing her to scout for unsuspecting adversaries while providing vital information even after her demise.
2 Fenrir
Smell Fear

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Throws devices that release a fear-inducing gas when enemies enter the area. |
While most trap operators are designed for direct damage, Fenrir’s gadget excels at disrupting enemy visibility. This unique attribute generates crucial intel while impairing attackers’ performance within its radius, effectively altering their approach with fear and uncertainty.
Equipping a suppressor on his MP7 enhances his stealthiness, allowing him to be elusive while taking unsuspecting opponents by surprise. With his adaptability, Fenrir excels as both a roamer and an anchor.
1 Lesion
Like Stepping On A Lego

Speed | Normal (2) |
Health | Medium (2) |
Ability | Deploys mines that deal gradual damage and inhibit sprinting until the needle is removed. |
As a defender, Lesion becomes a formidable adversary for attackers plagued by his incapacitating mines. These traps are not only excellent for revealing enemy movements but also difficult to neutralize due to their size and cloaking ability, rendering them undetectable by certain operators.
His mines serve a dual purpose by providing essential intel while simultaneously hampering enemy advances, showcasing his versatility. Coupled with a robust weapon like the T-5 SMG, Lesion is fully equipped to succeed in any role, especially when considering the added effectiveness of deploying mines over time.
