Thin, light, but practical – the new Huawei MateBook laptops

New Huawei laptops: MateBook D 16 and MateBook 16s

What the two new laptops have in common are large 16-inch FullView displays. Characteristic features of this solution are extremely thin frames, thanks to which we get a larger screen while maintaining the traditional dimensions of the device. In the case of the Huawei MateBook D 16 laptop, the display has an aspect ratio of 16:10, and in the MateBook 16s it has a 3:2 aspect ratio, which allows you to effectively arrange windows on your desktop. The latter is also tactile, and in addition boasts 100% coverage of the sRGB color palette.

Of course, the keyboard also has a big impact on usability. The new MateBook D 16 features specially optimized keys with 1.5mm of travel and a so-called soft landing. cushioning when pressed. The same solution can be found in the MateBook 16s. Both computers also have a built-in 1080p webcam with a range of smart features (such as background blur, face-to-face focus, and face-centering). All this is complemented by a noise-canceling microphone.

High performance, flawless functionality

Of course, the main thing is efficiency. In the case of these new laptops, this is taken care of by the 12th generation Intel Core processor family marked “H”, from the i5-12450H to the i7-12700H. The spec is rounded out with fast SSDs, dual-channel RAM, and all the key wireless modules. And so that everything does not get too hot, the manufacturer chose a cooling system with fans a la shark fins.

Huawei Super Device is another solution worth mentioning. This allows the new MateBooks to quickly connect to other Huawei devices (such as mice, headphones, or phones) without cables or setup. It also allows you to seamlessly transfer data between your smartphone and laptop. And all this was locked in computers weighing less than 2 kilograms.
