Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered set for early 2025 release on PC and consoles
Last year, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics introduced Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, allowing devoted fans a chance to experience the genesis of the classic series with enhanced graphics. Now, fans can look forward to an updated version of Lara Croft’s subsequent adventures. Today marks the announcement of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, set to launch on February 14, 2025, featuring enhanced visuals, revamped controls, and more exciting improvements.
This new collection includes Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Similar to the previous remaster pack, gamers can toggle between classic and contemporary graphics styles, with the modern visuals providing significant updates to the game’s environments, characters, and various artifacts.
The remaster also modernizes how players control Lara, offering both the original “tank-style”controls and updated options to enhance gameplay.
Additionally, features such as a photo mode with customizable poses for Lara, health bars for bosses, cross-platform achievements, and other quality-of-life enhancements will be included.
Below is a brief overview of each game and its storyline:
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (1999)
In this installment, Lara Croft discovers the hidden tomb of the Egyptian deity Set, inadvertently releasing him and fulfilling an age-old prophecy that plunges humanity into chaos.
Tomb Raider: Chronicles (2000)
Following the events of The Last Revelation, Lara is thought to be dead after being entombed in Egypt. During her memorial, friends and allies share memories, revealing secrets from her adventurous past. Players can journey through Lara’s undisclosed exploits, featuring new gameplay elements like stealth mechanics and tightrope walking!
Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness (2003)
Falsely accused of murder, Lara finds herself on the run, unraveling a dark conspiracy that involves mystical experiments and a quest for ancient relics. It is up to her to prevent this nefarious alliance from unleashing its potent powers upon the world.
Pre-orders for Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered are now available at a price of $29.99, ahead of the anticipated February 14 release. Players can expect the collection to launch on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, alongside releases for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
