Latest Insights on Ubisoft’s Game Lineup In a recent episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, Tom Henderson, the founder of Insider Gaming, provided updates on Ubisoft’s forthcoming releases. He confirmed that the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced remake is the next notable title to watch for, followed closely by an upcoming addition to the Ghost Recon franchise. The last entry in the series, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, debuted in October 2019 and faced considerable criticism, leading to disappointing sales figures. Although Ubisoft introduced the Immersive mode and brought back the beloved AI squadmates, the attempts to salvage the game fell flat. The anticipated Battle Royale offshoot, Ghost Recon Frontline, was ultimately scrapped in July 2022 due to overwhelmingly negative feedback from the community. In early 2023, Henderson indicated that the next installment in the Ghost Recon series aims for a 2025 release. This timeline was later adjusted to 2026, and his recent comments suggest this remains a likely target. Conversely, fans of the long-demanded Splinter Cell remake must prepare for an extended wait, as its release has been pushed back to 2027. Additionally, Henderson shared that the next Far Cry game has encountered significant development challenges, describing its journey as having “gone through hell and back.” This franchise is a cornerstone for Ubisoft, along with Rainbow Six and Assassin’s Creed, all receiving attention from the newly established Vantage Studios. Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has recently confirmed that there are two new entries in development for the Far Cry series: one being a traditional sequel and the other a multiplayer spin-off, both expected to launch in 2027 or later. Lastly, the development of the Rayman remake appears to be progressing positively; however, this title has also been postponed to next year. Source & Images
