Todd Christopher Guzze’s Creation of Kim Porter’s Alleged Memoir: Insights as Amazon Removes the Book

On October 1, 2024, Amazon removed Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, From the Other Side…, a purported memoir of the late Kim Porter, which was self-published by Todd Christopher Guzze. Notably, Kim Porter passed away from pneumonia in 2018.

This controversial memoir, which made serious allegations against her former partner Sean “Diddy”Combs, was taken down after her children publicly denounced the book as a fabrication. An Amazon spokesperson issued a statement regarding the removal, stating:

“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher. The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”

Todd Christopher Guzze, writing under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, published the memoir on September 6, 2024. The book gained immense popularity following Diddy’s serious allegations of s*x trafficking and his subsequent arrest.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Guzze claimed he received a “flash drive, documents, and tapes”from sources close to Combs and Porter, which he utilized to compile the memoir.

“They said they had her flash drive. I didn’t ask too many questions about how they got it [or] where it came from,”Guzze explained.

Todd Christopher Guzze Stands By His Claims About the Kim Porter Memoir

Todd Christopher Guzze, who also identifies as Chris Todd, is an author, producer, and investigative journalist. In his discussion with Rolling Stone, he asserted that he acquired the material for Kim Porter’s alleged memoir following a lawsuit filed against Diddy by his ex-partner Cassie Ventura for r*pe and abuse in November 2023.

Guzze expressed confidence in the truthfulness of the memoir, yet he declined to divulge if or how he verified the details. The book contains numerous allegations against Diddy, including accusations of assault and s*xual coercion.

“If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me. Sometimes you have to just put it out there. Maybe not 100 per cent of the book is true, but maybe 80 per cent is. That is to get those people to come forward and either corroborate or deny [the claims], and that helps me as an investigator to know the truth,”Guzze remarked.

Al B. Sure!, Kim Porter’s former spouse and one of the individuals mentioned in the memoir, condemned the book, calling it “fabricated bulls**t,”specifically referencing a chapter that alleged he had been intimate with Diddy.

According to court documents reviewed by Rolling Stone, Al B. Sure! threatened legal action against Guzze and Amazon regarding the book. On September 27, his legal team issued cease-and-desist letters to halt sales and retract the alleged defamatory claims.

Kim Porter’s Friends Refute Claims of a Memoir

Al B. Sure! was not alone in criticizing the alleged memoir of Kim Porter. Close friends Kimora Lee Simmons and Lawanda Lane issued a joint statement to Rolling Stone, asserting that Porter had not been working on any memoir prior to her death. Lane characterized Porter as an “extremely private”individual.

Another friend, Eboni Elektra, publicly denounced the memoir, labeling it as filled with “blatant lies.”

Sean Combs and Kim Porter maintained an on-again, off-again relationship from the early 1990s until 2007. The couple had three children together: their son Christian and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James. Porter also had a son, Quincy Brown, from her marriage to Al B. Sure!
