The current GTA Online UFO location is officially activated, giving gamers another chance to investigate the possibility of extraterrestrial life in Los Santos. Initially introduced in 2022 during The Criminal Enterprises update, the UFO Sightseeing feature has become an annual Halloween event. Starting on October 15, 2024, players can capture images of Unidentified Flying Objects and submit them to Omega, earning rewards of $15,000 and 1,000 RP.

Despite the enticing rewards, finding these alien ships isn’t as simple as it may seem. Players will need to know the precise coordinates to begin their search, and keep in mind that these UFOs are only visible in-game between the hours of 10 PM and 4 AM.

The GTA 5 Online UFO for today is located at Paleto Bay Peninsula. Follow the coordinates presented in the image above to find the UFO in the northern section of the map. Be aware that the UFO will not appear on the mini-map, but players should be able to spot it from a distance.

Traveling along the Great Ocean Highway should sufficiently guide you to the current GTA Online UFO location.

UFO positions do shift daily within Los Santos, making it crucial to stay updated on their latest locations.

To engage in the UFO Sightseeing event, players need to photograph the UFO and send it to Omega to earn $15,000 and 1,000 RP. This event is available daily until October 31, 2024, offering an opportunity to accumulate an extra $100,000 and three uniquely colored Glow Believe Caps.

However, players should exercise caution when approaching the UFO as getting too close can result in the following:

• Shutdown of vehicle engines
• UFO disappearing accompanied by a thunderclap and lightning strike

If you haven’t captured your image before this occurs, you can switch to a new online session for the UFO to reappear.

Approaching the UFO on foot could lead to abduction, and if this happens during the Sightseeing event, you will unlock the UFO Boxer Shorts and the “??? Tee” Special Top.

Remember that the number and specific locations of UFOs will vary daily during the initial two phases of the event, expected to last around 7-10 days.
