Tiny Pasture is an engaging idle game that transforms your desktop into a charming little farm. Here, you can watch adorable animals frolic, nap, and occasionally generate coins, all while running in the background without consuming significant system resources. This means it won’t interfere with your other PC activities.
Despite its idle nature, the game still requires periodic management. For instance, neglecting to clean up after your animals can lead to health issues. However, the most critical task is ensuring that your animals are well-fed to maintain their Fullness levels.
Understanding Food Mechanics in Tiny Pasture

When you purchase an animal, it starts its life as a baby with a Fullness of 50%.To promote its growth, you’ll need to feed it until its Fullness reaches 60%.At this stage, the Time Until Adulthood bar initiates progression. Once filled, the animal matures and begins earning coins for you.
However, it’s important to note that Fullness levels decline over time. If an animal’s Fullness drops below 50%, its Stored Earnings will halt, preventing it from generating any coins. To maintain your income, regular feeding is essential.
The Cuckoo House Facility within the game produces Food for your animals at set intervals, as long as you possess enough coins.

To view the available Food items, simply navigate to the Shop and check the Items section. Initially, you have access to Carrots, but as you care for more animals and help them reach adulthood, additional Food options will unlock. Each type of Food enhances an animal’s Fullness by varying amounts; for instance, Carrots provide 5 Fullness, while Cheese offers a significant boost of 23 Fullness.
Switching Food in Tiny Pasture

In Tiny Pasture, there are two primary methods to feed your animals:
- Via the Shop: Access the shop, select a food item you have unlocked, and place it in the pasture.
- Using the Quick Access Box: Click the Arrow button on the right to open the Menu House, followed by selecting Food located below your total Coins.
The Quick Access Box is the most efficient way to feed your animals. However, it is important to note that it defaults to Carrots. Even when you unlock new food options, the Quick Access Box will not switch automatically to a different item.
To change the food item in your Quick Access Box, follow these steps:
- Go to the Shop and navigate to the Items section.
- Scroll to find the food you wish to select.
- Click the small Pin button located at the top-left corner of the food item.
This action will replace the Carrot with your chosen Food, enabling you to feed your animals quickly whenever their Fullness runs low. Remember, only one Food item can occupy the Quick Access Box at any time.
Maintaining your animals’ nutrition is vital for a thriving farm in Tiny Pasture. By effectively switching to different Food items in the Quick Access Box, you can ensure your animals remain healthy and productive, thus optimizing your coin generation.
