
Timothy Olyphant is set to star alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in an exciting new adaptation for Apple TV+, based on a New York Times best-selling novel. Olyphant has recently wrapped up filming the English-language remake of the Norwegian horror comedy, The Trip, featuring co-stars Jason Segel, Samara Weaving, and Juliette Lewis. Furthermore, he is a confirmed cast member in the anticipated Alien franchise series, Alien: Earth, created by Noah Hawley, which will premiere on FX and Hulu later this year.
On the other hand, Anya Taylor-Joy, who gained fame as the lead in Robert Eggers’ critically acclaimed horror film The Witch, is also preparing for another Apple TV+ project debuting soon. Directed by Scott Derrickson, known for Doctor Strange, she stars in The Gorge alongside Miles Teller and Sigourney Weaver. This science fiction thriller revolves around two elite snipers tasked with protecting opposing sides of an impenetrable gorge, and it’s slated for release on Apple TV+ on February 14.

In addition to her current projects, Taylor-Joy is involved in the Apple TV+ adaptation of Lucky. Developed by Jonathan Tropper, known for his work on Banshee, this miniseries is based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel. It narrates the story of Taylor-Joy’s character, a young woman striving to escape her life of crime, who encounters a pivotal opportunity that might either liberate her or trap her in a cycle of criminality. Annette Benning joins the cast as Priscilla, a formidable mob leader.
According to Deadline, Timothy Olyphant has officially joined the cast of Lucky as John Armstrong, Taylor-Joy’s character’s father. In the novel, John is depicted as the one who mentors his daughter in the art of deception, setting her on a treacherous path she desperately seeks to leave behind.
