Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora: Full results

The event between Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora has officially concluded. It was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 30 and consisted of five title fights on the main card. This article will delve into the complete results of the event.

At the main event, Sebastian Fundora challenged Tim Tszyu for his WBO super welterweight title and the vacant WBC super welterweight title.

Despite Tszyu being the anticipated opponent, Keith Thurman was unable to defend the title as planned due to a bicep injury. As a result, Fundora was chosen as his replacement.

Despite the height difference, Tszyu effectively used his advantage to target Fundora’s body with his attacks during the fight. Fundora, on the other hand, attempted to keep Tszyu at bay with his jab.

Despite a regrettable collision, a large gash was created on the champion’s forehead. This heavily bleeding wound appeared to greatly affect Tszyu’s ability to see as the match continued.

Despite Tszyu’s persistent resistance, Fundora managed to maintain a safe distance from the incumbent champion by effectively utilizing his reach. While Tszyu’s best work was done in close range, Fundora seemed to have the advantage in the later rounds. Nevertheless, Tszyu refused to back down and continued to put up a strong fight.

Ultimately, Sebastian Fundora secured a victory through a split decision (116-112, 112-116, 115-113), earning the titles of WBC and WBO super welterweight champion.

Tszyu vs. Fundora: Lara, Martinez, and Bohachuk Claim Wins in Exciting Night of Boxing

Erislandy Lara, the WBA middleweight champion, secured a successful title defense by knocking out Michael Zarafa in the second round. The two men began the fight cautiously, carefully assessing each other’s movements.

Lara quickly identified his opponent’s strategy and expertly countered Zarafa’s left jab with a powerful right hook. He followed up with a devastating straight left, causing Zarafa to fall to the ground. Despite getting back up, it was clear that Zarafa was unable to regain his balance and the referee ended the fight.

Despite being hurt badly in Round 1, Rolando Romero showed the heart of a champion and continued to fight against Mexico’s Isaac Cruz, who ultimately defeated him to claim the WBA super lightweight title. Cruz had set the tone early with his dominating performance, but Romero refused to give up and fought until the end.

In Round 5, Romero returned to the fight with effective combinations, however, Cruz regained the upper hand as he aggressively pushed forward and delivered forceful shots.

Despite being seriously hurt, Romero managed to survive Round 7. However, Cruz wasted no time in attacking him with a barrage of punches from the start of Round 8, which ultimately led to the referee intervening and stopping the fight.
