This week, on October 16, 2024, Netflix’s hit dating reality show, *Love is Blind* Season 7, released episodes 10 and 11. In this thrilling part of the series, couples worked through their relationships leading up to their pivotal wedding decisions. Unfortunately, one couple’s relationship concluded in episode 10, as Tim chose to end his engagement with Alex.
Episode 10, entitled “The Text From an Ex,”featured Tim’s parents traveling to Washington D.C. to visit him and Alex. To Tim’s relief, his parents welcomed Alex warmly and assured him that they would attend the wedding. However, tensions arose during the visit when Tim expressed his frustration with Alex’s behavior while his parents were present.
During their discussion, Tim shared that although he understood Alex was tired, it felt as though she opted to sleep as soon as the cameras stopped rolling, which he found unacceptable. Alex responded, stating she would have stayed awake had she realized how significant it was to him. They recognized their communication struggles, leading Tim to reveal that he couldn’t envision a future of marriage with her.
Viewers didn’t hold back on social media, voicing their criticisms of Tim’s approach to the break-up with Alex. One viewer expressed on X:
“Tim is an egotistical maniac and he’s been looking for any excuse to dump Alex, big coward”
“Tim could not WAIT to leave Alex in the dust. That argument they never showed us must have been AWFUL,”another commenter noted.
“Tim is sooo heartless omg!!!! He reminds me of a narcissist I know. Gosh Alex deserves all the love in this world,”another tweet stated.
Fans of *Love is Blind* expressed that Tim’s behavior came across as “immature”:
“If I’m Alex, after what Tim just said I’m not wasting my energy on this man. He’s not a bad dude but he’s being immature af right now. He’s the type to hold it all in, get mad, then punish you for it without communicating after making his mind up. Therapy pls!”one viewer wrote.
“Tim ain’t liked Alex since whatever argument they had in Mexico and he needs to admit that instead of whatever all this other stuff is because he looks cruel, immature, and tbh the tone and eyes look a lil ridiculous,”a fan opined.
“Tim clearly came into that conversation with an intention to belittle, humble, and embarrass Alex. His unwillingness to accept any accountability was telling but Alex held her composure well,”another tweet reflected.
Further input from *Love is Blind* viewers included:
“Tim is giving me severe PTSD omg. Alex is better off honestly. That man is nowhere near ready for any relationship let alone a marriage,”a commenter stated.
“So Tim only wants literal perfection and doesn’t accept any flaws from anyone. Pathetic. Alex, dodge that crazy bullet girl,”another viewer remarked.
“I don’t ever wanna see you again”— Tim ends things with Alex on *Love is Blind* season 7 episode 10
In episode 10 of *Love is Blind* season 7, Tim and Alex engaged in a heated argument about her decision to take a nap while his parents were visiting. Alex clarified that she didn’t think a one-hour nap was a significant issue and urged Tim to communicate his expectations better.
“I cannot read your mind,”Alex stressed.
She pointed out that Tim seemed to want her to adhere strictly to his expectations without allowing room for discussion. Alex recalled trying to talk with him the previous day, but he declined, making her feel ignored and disconnected.
Tim explained that after considering what he seeks in a spouse, he no longer sees a future with Alex. In response, Alex criticized his earlier request to her father for her hand in marriage just two days prior, questioning his commitment to working on their relationship.
Tim argued he had made efforts, recalling how he went the extra mile by preparing a meal for her family during their visit. Alex countered by stating he had failed to communicate his desires effectively, such as asking her to do the dishes without clarification. Ultimately, Tim admitted he couldn’t commit to a future with Alex.
“I don’t ever wanna see you again.”
Fans of *Love is Blind* season 7 expressed their disappointment and frustration with Tim’s treatment of Alex.
