Thompson twins’ ‘Dream Board’ illustrates NBA stars achieving their ‘shoe deal’ childhood goals entering the league
As they entered the 2023-24 season, the Thompson twins were highly respected as NBA prospects, praised for their immense athletic potential. A glimpse into their childhood dreams was revealed by Front Office Sports, showcasing their shared goal of becoming billionaires at the young age of nine. With their success in the NBA, the twins are on track to fulfilling their dreams together.
Despite having different playing styles on the basketball court, the Thompson twins shared similar goals, which were also reflected on the vision board through daily routines such as workout processes and practicing healthy portion intake.
The dream board helped them successfully reach one of their goals – signing with a shoe company. On Oct. 23, they achieved this milestone with Nike.
Despite being only 20 years old, these two individuals face numerous challenges in the NBA. However, they have been training for a long time to become professional basketball players.
The Thompson Twins’ Dream Board Revival
During an interview with Randi Richardson on “Today’s”, the Thompson twins discussed their plans for creating a new dream board now that they have joined the NBA. Amen Thompson, a forward for the Houston Rockets, expressed his intention to create a “dream board 2.0″and shared some details about its contents.
“I got to revise it,”Thompson said. “Make a new one, dream board 2.0, I guess. I got to figure out what I got to put on it. I’m going to put it on my wall though. I’m going to do it again.”
In spite of this, Ausar Thompson, a forward for the Detroit Pistons, had a particular idea in mind for what he wanted to include on the new dream board.
“I’m going to make one too: win a championship,”Thompson said. “Hopefully I get to play him. Maybe it’s a rivalry. Hopefully, I get to beat him in the championship. It would only be right.”
Considering the multitude of league accolades that can be earned over a player’s lifetime, the NBA championship holds the highest level of prestige.
During their first season in the NBA, the Thompson twins have made a promising start to their journey together. Amen Thompson has been performing well with 9.2 points (53.0% shooting) and 6.3 rebounds per game. Despite being sidelined earlier this month due to a blood clot, Ausar Thompson still managed to average 8.8 ppg (48.3% shooting) and 6.4 rpg.
Despite being in the same 2024 NBA draft class as explosive rookies like Spurs center Victor Wembanyama and Hornets forward Brandon Miller, the numbers of this player are not as impressive.
