“Thirsty and Desperate”: Fans Critique Brian’s Unexpected Visit to Ingrid’s Home on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days

The reality series 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days aired episode 5 of its seventh season on September 29, Sunday. Titled Brave New World, the episode showcased the couple taking significant steps toward their future together.

Previously, viewers followed Brian, a 51-year-old quadriplegic U.S. citizen, as he traveled to Brazil to meet his 33-year-old online girlfriend, Ingrid. They checked into a hotel where Brian could comfortably stay before meeting Ingrid’s parents and her 2-year-old son, Arthur.

In this episode, Brian made an unannounced visit to Ingrid’s home, where she lives with her son. After Ingrid welcomed him, he presented gifts for Arthur and shared with the cameras how important it was for him to meet her son. Fans on X expressed their discontent with Brian’s actions:

“Brian, flowers are not going to do it. Plus you show up unannounced without asking first! Too much thirsty and desperate,”wrote one fan.

“Just because you’re in a wheelchair doesn’t mean you can just show up to a woman’s house unannounced because you aren’t ‘threatening,’ Brian,”remarked another.

Brian drove to Ingrid’s house and called her from outside, asking her to open the front gate. He presented her with flowers and asked if he could give her son the toys he brought.

Ingrid shared in a confessional that she felt emotional when Brian told her about the gifts for Arthur and was eager to introduce them. A slight issue arose regarding the wheelchair accessibility of her home, but they managed to overcome it.

Upon seeing 2-year-old Arthur, Brian gifted him a car toy and asked if he liked cars, even offering to help him unwrap the gift. He showed Arthur how to operate the remote-controlled car, which the little boy appeared to enjoy immensely.

Brian stated in a confessional that this experience could signify the start of “his family.”Ingrid expressed a desire to see more of this side of Brian and thanked him for the gifts before saying goodbye.
