“They Are Soul Mates”: Christine from Sister Wives Shares Insights on Kody and Robyn’s Relationship

The sixth episode of Sister Wives Season 19 premiered on October 20 on TLC. In this episode, Christine went on a date with her new partner, David, and reflected on how their relationship compares to her past with Kody.

At 50 years old, Christine articulated that she feels genuinely appreciated in her relationship with David, even going so far as to contemplate the idea that he could be her soul mate. She pointed to the bond between Kody and Robyn, highlighting that their connection exemplifies true soulmates. Christine stated:

“I felt like Kody and Robyn were soul mates. I feel like today they are soul mates.”

Christine Opens Up About Kody and Robyn’s Bond

In an earlier segment of the same episode, Christine had a heart-to-heart with her children regarding her budding romance with David. The reality TV star revealed that she had been on multiple dates and discovered her preferences in a meaningful relationship.

As her date with David progressed, Christine took time to delve into her complicated past with Kody. In a confessional, she shared insights about the challenges they faced.

She expressed her enthusiasm for being with someone who fully invests his attention in her. This was a stark contrast to her experiences in polygamy, where she felt that other women often created a sense of rivalry in emotional connections.

Christine then turned her focus to Kody and Robyn, referring to them as “soul mates.”She had a moment of clarity regarding their relationship, saying:

“Just like last week, I realized ‘Ohh this is how soul mates feel. OK, now I know why Kody really wants to be over Robyn’s house all the time. This is how they feel’. Of course, I would never want to leave David. I would not want to go stay somewhere else.”

She continued, suggesting that if a husband develops a soulmate bond with one wife in a polygamous arrangement, it can disrupt the balance within the family. Christine posed the question:

“How can he [the husband] have a good relationship with his other wives if he has a soulmate relationship with one of them?”

Christine Expresses Gratitude to David for His Affection

During their dinner, Christine and David discussed where their relationship currently stands. Christine revealed that her relationship with Kody had lacked affection from the outset. She noted that even in private, there was a palpable absence of intimacy.

Gratefully, she acknowledged David’s loving nature, admitting that she hadn’t previously understood how deeply she craved physical affection until now. Despite feeling that it was almost too perfect, she believed they could be soul mates.

David reciprocated her feelings, sharing:

“I really do care for you. You are a lot of fun. I’m excited. I’m a little nervous, and a bit scared about where it’s heading, but I’m committed to it. I’m 100% there because you’re too good to be true… We just clicked as if there was something there… I knew it was real… the second time I’ve seen you. I really care a lot about you.”

In a later confessional, Christine acknowledged that although things are “moving fast”for the couple, they are not inclined to slow down.

This episode also highlighted the Brown family’s tension as they prepared to spend Christmas apart. Kody had a strained discussion with Meri, blaming her for their divorce. Concurrently, Janelle was focused on resolving property disputes with Kody, determined to navigate her future as an independent woman.
