There’s one clear winner in Logan Paul’s WrestleMania XL match, WWE veteran says (Exclusive)
At WrestleMania XL on April 6-7, Logan Paul is scheduled to defend his United States Championship against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. According to Vince Russo, the former head writer of WWE, the company’s decision-makers would be making a mistake to change the title in this match.
At Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023, Paul was able to defeat Rey Mysterio and become the United States Champion. Following this victory, his first and only title defense occurred at the Royal Rumble on January 27, against Owens, which ended in a disqualification.
“Somehow, someway, bro, you gotta let that sneaky heel get out of it, man. He’s a heel but he’s a babyface in this match because it’s a two [babyfaces] on one [heel]. That’s how Logan Paul gets his heat. Somehow, someway, whether there’s an issue between Orton and Owens, whether it’s something like that, you gotta let him escape with that title, bro. If they take that title off Logan Paul, they’re nuts and out of their minds.”[2:48 – 3:17]

Vince Russo Endorses Logan Paul’s Match Proposal
Despite initial doubts, Logan Paul and Bad Bunny have both proven themselves to be impressive performers in the wrestling ring in recent years. With SummerSlam 2024 set to be held in Paul’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, there is speculation that he will participate in a highly-anticipated match at the event.
If given enough time to practice, Vince Russo believes that Bad Bunny would make a suitable opponent for Paul on August 3.
“Now, that would be interesting. Do you trust the both of them to have a match against each other without a wrestler in there leading them? (…) I don’t mind that [idea].”[4:15 – 4:27]
Russo clarified the reason why a SmackDown performer is unlikely to achieve the same level of success in the main event as he did in 2023.
