“There was no winning”: Scheana Shay reveals why she didn’t tell Katie about Tom Schwartz’s kiss 

On her podcast Scheananigans, Scheana Shay discussed her decision to not inform Katie Maloney about her kiss with Tom Schwartz in Las Vegas years ago. The episode, which was broadcasted on March 30, is currently accessible on both YouTube and Spotify. Scheana admitted to deceiving Katie, who was Tom’s significant other at the time, because, as she stated:

“There was no winning in the situation. So in that moment, I said, ‘This never happened. You take it to the grave.’”

Scheana Shay’s recent podcast statement was prompted by Tom Schwartz’s revelation to Lala about their past kiss, which occurred on the March 26 episode of Vanderpump Rules season 11. While Tom admitted to not remembering much about the incident that took place 12 years ago, he did recall that it happened during a difficult time in his relationship with his now-wife, Katie Maloney.

Reflecting on her emotions from 12 years ago, Scheana Shay confessed to possibly suppressing the truth about kissing Tom Schwartz in Las Vegas and even revealed that it may have been a traumatic experience for her.

“Because despite what the world may think — this home-wrecking wh**e version of me — I am not a cheater … someone I was with back in 2006 was cheating on his wife. I didn’t know that. Like I am not a cheater.”

According to Scheana, she claims to have been intoxicated when they kissed and cannot recall if she was engaged at the time, in reference to her former marriage with Michael Shay.

Despite stressing her innocence, she admitted that she did not initiate the kiss with Tom, but he still allegedly kissed her. She also confessed to keeping this information from Katie, implying that Tom was the one who made the first move. She concluded by answering her own question.

“If someone makes an unwanted advance on you, do you have an obligation to tell their partner?”saying, “Think about the position I was in.”

Before Tom Schwartz revealed the truth about his kiss in Vegas during season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Katie had believed Scheana’s denial of their alleged “make-out”and dismissed it as a mere online rumor. This was during her appearance on Nick Viall’s podcast The Viall Files on January 4, where she was asked to share her thoughts on the situation and discuss her relationship with Scheana at the time.

Katie insinuated that Tom had kissed someone else other than Scheana Shay by saying,

“You’re going to see but I will tell you that it was not the other Scheana. First of all, that’s not even her name but no like that’s a complete theory that someone made up online.”

According to her, Scheana’s response to her and Tom’s kiss on Twitter was described as “nuanced.”This has led fans to believe that she doubts whether Scheana and Tom actually kissed.

Despite initially denying the allegations, Scheana Shay ultimately came clean in January 2020 when responding to a fan who accused her of “hooking up”with Schwartz. In her response, Scheana admitted to kissing Schwartz.

“Lol. Let’s be clear here. We did not ‘hook up’. It was a 5 second drunken kiss that he said he didn’t even remember. But then 6 months later remembers it was ‘bad’.”

Katie’s response to the tweet is still unknown. However, fans are eagerly waiting for her reaction as she had previously dismissed it as a “made-up”story before Scheana’s confession.
