“There are monsters in the division” – Duke Didier hopes to make a splash at heavyweight by beating rising star Ben Tynan

Australia’s Duke Didier, an up-and-coming heavyweight in ONE Championship, has ambitious goals of becoming the promotion’s next major standout.

The heavyweight division of ONE Championship boasts an abundance of exceptional talent, such as Amir Aliakbari, Kang Ji Won, Oumer ‘Reug Reug’ Kane, and others. Unsurprisingly, the current champion of the division is none other than Anatoly ‘Sladkiy’ Malykhin, who also holds the titles for ONE’s light heavyweight and middleweight MMA divisions.

This weekend, Didier will have the chance to prove himself and solidify his position as a top contender for the heavyweight championship as he faces off against up-and-coming Canadian fighter Ben Tynan.

At ONE Fight Night 21: Eersel vs. Nicolas on Prime Video, Duke Didier and Tynan will face off at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, April 5th.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Didier expressed his enthusiasm for making a statement in ONE’s heavyweight division by defeating Tynan.

The statement was made by ‘The Duke of Canberra’.

“There are some absolute monsters in the division. As a former light heavyweight, I feel like I need to start eating some steaks or something because these guys are killers. But I’ll get through Ben Tynan, and then we’ll see who the next monster they put in front of me is.”

Viewers in both the United States and Canada can livestream the entirety of ONE Fight Night 21: Eersel vs. Nicolas for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Duke Didier Reveals Strategy to Defeat Ben Tynan: “Uncovering a Vulnerability”

Despite facing the challenge of Ben Tynan, Australia’s Duke Didier remains confident in his abilities to overcome it and continue on to more significant obstacles.

‘The Duke of Canberra’ stated to ONE Championship:

“I see a weakness, like any fighter. Hopefully, my strengths sort out his weaknesses. I definitely think if I can go in and get the job done, I’ll try and have a beer with him afterward.”
