  • The Witcher actress hinted at upcoming season four details while remaining cautious due to her contractual obligations.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of the official The Witcher season four trailer, one of the series’ stars, Safiyya Ingar, recently recounted her experience with the significant repercussions of sharing what was considered a spoiler. This incident underscores the rigorous non-disclosure agreement (NDA) regulations that govern the cast of this popular Netflix show.

The Witcher, originally developed from Andrej Sapkowski’s acclaimed novels published from 1991 to 2012, has successfully transitioned from literature to video games and now to a beloved television series. These novels, initially in Polish, were later translated into English, allowing a global audience to experience Sapkowski’s richly constructed universe. The narrative is set in the imaginative realm of the Continent, featuring the Northern Kingdoms and the Nilfgaardian Empire, where both mythical creatures and human characters coexist. Central to this saga is Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, alongside pivotal characters such as Ciri, who shares a connection to Geralt’s destiny, and Yennefer, his powerful sorceress love interest.

During a conversation with Screen Rant to promote her new film, Brides, Ingar, who portrays the Temerian sorceress Keira Metz in season three, disclosed that she recently found herself in hot water for posting an image deemed too revealing for the upcoming fourth season of The Witcher. While discussing the new season, Ingar expressed her reluctance to disclose any information, indicating a strong adherence to NDA guidelines.“I can’t! They’ve got us in a chokehold so hard; I could say one word, and there goes my NDA. My phone will blow up, ”she commented, revealing the intensity of the situation.

Ingar recounted, “I remember I got in so much trouble for posting a picture of the prop swords. I thought it was just an ambiguous little thing. There was no indication of anything secretive. I simply shared that ‘We’re back, ’ and given that everyone already knew filming had started, I thought it was harmless.”

However, the consequences of her post became apparent when Netflix contacted her, insisting she remove the image due to its potential to compromise security.“It was just a box of swords! The Witcher is all about swords!”Ingar exclaimed, highlighting the absurdity of the situation, yet she complied with the demands to maintain her standing with the streaming company. Fortunately, she was able to express some positivity by mentioning that “Liam Hemsworth looks great, ”providing at least a glimpse of her enthusiasm for the new season.
