Some online communities expressed dissatisfaction regarding this version of Ciri, suggesting that her design deviates excessively from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
In February 2025, CDPR released a behind-the-scenes video that offered insights into the making of the reveal trailer. He noted that close-ups of Ciri at specific timestamps show her without enhancements like facial animations or lighting effects, attributing any perceived discrepancies to these cinematic techniques. This explanation aims to dispel any notions that the developers made adjustments to Ciri’s appearance following fan feedback about the initial presentations.
