The blind auditions for The Voice kicked off with the launch of season 26 on September 23, 2024. This season, the judging panel saw the addition of Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, who joined the familiar faces of Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. A thrilling new feature introduced this season is the coach replay button, enabling judges to invite contestants to their teams even after their chairs have been turned.

The latest installment, episode 4 entitled “Blind Auditions: Part 5,”aired on NBC on October 14, 2024. In this episode, viewers were treated to captivating performances that led to four chair turns, particularly by competitors Cameron Wright and Kay Sibal.

As the episode concluded, Team Snoop, Team Reba, and Team Gwen each boasted 12 members, leaving room for two more artists. On the other hand, Team Bublé still had three open spots.

The synopsis for episode 5 stated:

“Coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani are on the lookout for the next singing star during the fifth night of blind auditions.”

One of the standout moments from The Voice season 26 episode 5 was the audition of 34-year-old Cameron Wright. Using they/them pronouns, Cameron delivered a moving rendition of “The Way We Were”by Barbra Streisand, dedicating the performance to their grandmother, who has always been a source of unconditional love. They shared an emotional narrative about their experiences as a member of the LGBTQ community and highlighted the unwavering support of their grandma.

The judges were thoroughly captivated by Cameron’s soulful and resonant voice. Their performance resulted in a four-chair turn, after which they chose Michael Bublé to guide their journey in the competition. Michael expressed his admiration for Cameron’s talent and committed to helping them discover their unique artistic identity through music.

Another notable audition featured 24-year-old Kay Sibal. Throughout the episode, the coaches were seen passionately vying for their preferred artists. However, in Kay’s case, Snoop Dogg ultimately suggested that she select Gwen as her mentor instead.

Originating from Los Angeles, Kay shared her personal story involving her immigrant parents and the loss of her father.

Kay showcased her talent by performing “From the Start,”earning praise from Snoop, who admired the “jazziness” of her rendition. Recognizing that Gwen would offer her the best support as she develops her artistry, Snoop remarked:

“I love the jazziness of that song and how you controlled your voice; I have to get out the way.”

Following Snoop’s guidance, Kay chose to join Team Gwen. Additionally, in episode 5, Camryn Brooks also made her way into Team Gwen. Cameron Wright and Mark Shiiba were added to Team Bublé, while Lauren-Michael Sellers, Tsola, and Deon Jones joined Team Reba. Eliza Pryor, Mary McAvoy, and Brad Sample became part of Team Snoop.
