The Voice Season 26 Episode 2 Recap

The rules for The Voice season 26 episode 2’s blind auditions remained consistent. Contestants perform while the coaches face away from the stage, unable to see the performers. If a coach enjoys the performance at any point, they can press a button to turn their chair and see the contestant.

Once turned, the coaches plead their case as to why the contestant should choose them. The selected contestant then represents their coach for the remainder of the competition.

Dreion, a 27-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, wowed the judges with her rendition of “Shining Star”by Earth, Wind & Fire, earning all four judges’ attention and ultimately joining Team Snoop Dogg.

Snoop utilized the Coach Replay Button to pick Gail Bliss, who delivered a moving performance of “If It Hadn’t Been For Love”by The SteelDrivers.

Returning from season 1, contestant Felsmere impressed Gwen Stefani with his interpretation of “(She’s) Some Kind of Wonderful”by the Soul Brothers Six. Gwen also added Rowdy Shea, a country singer who performed “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This”by Toby Keith, to her team.

Austyns Stancil rounded out Team Stefani by performing “OOO Baby Baby”by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, showcasing her lively performance style.

Episode 2 highlighted a trio from Tallahassee, Florida, known as 323, who presented a unique spin on Britney Spears’ “(You Drive Me) Crazy.”They chose Reba as their coach, valuing her extensive experience. Additionally, Tanner Frick was the second member to join her team.

Michael Bublé continued to find his way as a coach, successfully blocking Reba to secure Mor Ilderton as his first contestant from the episode. The 20-year-old singer performed “Coal”by Dylan Gossett.

Bublé also welcomed 17-year-old Kamila Kiehne to his team during The Blind Auditions Part 2 of The Voice.
