The Valley: Kristen Doute addresses Vanderpump Rules firing, says “I am not proud”

In episode 3 of The Valley, Kristen Doute opened up about the difficult experience of being fired from Vanderpump Rules. The episode, titled Doubting Doute, premiered on Bravo on Tuesday, April 2.

In 2020, Vanderpump Rules stars Kristen and Stassi Schroeder were terminated together due to accusations of being insensitive towards their co-star Faith Stowers. This decision was made for those who were unfamiliar with the situation.

During a heated argument between Kristen and her new castmates in the latest episode of The Valley, the past incident was revisited. Reflecting on her past actions, the reality star expressed her apologies for any harm she may have caused others, stating:

“No one knows better than me because it happened to me and I was canceled. It was probably the hardest time of my entire life thus far. I’m not proud of what I did and I’m sorry that I hurt people, but I’ve learned from mistakes.”

Kristen Doute continued her confession in the confessional room of The Valley.

“People finally gave me a chance again and now it’s brought up all over again and now I’m going to have to relive it again. I hope that my whole life doesn’t fall apart again.”

The Repercussions of Kristen’s Firing on The Valley Cast

In episode 3 of The Valley, Kristen brought up the accusations made by Janet Caperna about Michelle Lally being a “Republican”during their girls’ night out. She mentioned that Zack Wickham had informed her about the claim.

Despite not attending the girls’ night out, Janet was made aware of Kristen’s comment through a FaceTime call with Michelle. In a confessional interview, she clarified that her words had been misunderstood.

Afterwards, Kristen had a conversation with Brittany Cartwright and made it clear that she never meant to imply Michelle was insensitive when she brought up the topic. The reality star explained that she was simply sharing information she had learned from Zack Wickham off-camera with the rest of the girl group. Kristen also mentioned her firing from Vanderpump Rules as a reason for avoiding sensitive topics. She told Brittany:

“I didn’t say that! Me? Me of all people! Really? You think this is a topic I want to talk about ever?”

During the dinner, Janet expressed her disgust towards the allegations made against her and Kristen offered confirmation by calling up Zack. Although Kristen apologized for bringing up the claims, Janet disapproved of her actions and Jesse Lally, Michelle’s husband, also joined in on the disapproval. This led to a heated exchange where Jesse yelled at Kristen.

“You’re ruining lives.”

The Valley celebrity was shocked by Jesse’s remark and was seen tearing up in a confessional as she remembered being fired in the past. Kristen acknowledged her mistake, saying:

“I know I made a mistake by roping Michelle into something that didn’t have to do with her, but Jesse’s he’s trying to ruin my name by bringing up the most painful thing that I’ve ever gone through. I understand why Michelle is upset. It is the worst thing in the world to be labeled as anything.”

Upon being fired from Vanderpump Rules, Kristen took time to reflect on her actions and expressed that she had learned from her past mistakes. Following their dismissal from the Bravo reality show, both Kristen and Stassi Schroeder released public apologies.

On Tuesday, April 9, Bravo will resume airing The Valley with episode 4.
