The Rock set for major appearance ahead of WWE WrestleMania
WWE has recently declared that The Rock will be making a significant presence prior to WrestleMania XL this weekend in Philadelphia. The renowned wrestler is scheduled to participate in a tag team match with major consequences on Saturday evening.
After Royal Rumble 2024, The Rock made his comeback to the company and Cody Rhodes appeared to step down in order to face Roman Reigns. However, due to the “WeWantCody”movement started by WWE fans, the company was compelled to alter their plans. As a result, The Great One has now turned heel and has declared that he will present Rhodes’ mother with a belt featuring her son’s name at this weekend’s highly anticipated event, The Show of Shows.
Before WrestleMania, WWE released a major announcement on their official X account, stating that the 51-year-old will make an appearance at WWE World tomorrow afternoon, as shown in the post below.
The Rock’s Continued Impact on WWE and Roman Reigns’ Reign as Champion
According to Vince Russo, The Rock’s presence has taken the spotlight away from Roman Reigns in the build-up to WrestleMania XL.
According to Russo, The Final Boss is an exceptional performer, and anyone would pale in comparison to him on WWE television.
“Listen, Roman is great. How is The Rock not gonna upstage him? You know what I am saying? Rock is not the kind of guy that’s gonna go out there and put himself over and make Reigns secondary, especially the fact that they are blood… Rock ain’t that kind of guy. But, I mean, when the guy walks out… anybody is gonna be in his shadow.”[From 1:11:57 onwards]
