What is the duration of Conor McGregor’s absence from the sport?

In July 2021, Conor McGregor competed in his most recent UFC fight at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier for their highly anticipated trilogy bout. Unfortunately, the fight came to a tragic end when McGregor suffered a severe leg injury in the first round.

As a consequence, Poirier was declared the victor by TKO due to the doctor’s intervention. McGregor has not competed since the incident, and there have been discussions of his potential comeback to the octagon; however, the UFC has not released any official statements yet.

Despite not having an official date set, it has been widely anticipated that McGregor and Michael Chandler will face off in the UFC upon McGregor’s return. The two were previously coaching rivals on the most recent season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ and Chandler has stated that the highly-anticipated fight will occur sometime during the summer.
