In an exciting announcement, Red Barrels, the developer hailing from Montréal, has revealed that the co-op horror game The Outlast Trials is set to unveil an engaging Invasion PvP mode on October 21, just in time for the Halloween festivities.

Gameplay Insights into Invasion Mode

Players eager to test their skills can access the new Invasion Mode through the Sleep Room Terminals, where they can choose to play as either a **Reagent** or an **Imposter**.The mechanics introduce a unique twist: a limited number of Imposters can infiltrate any given trial, while the others act as the surveillance team for their malicious allies. Success or failure in their sabotage efforts will determine when each Imposter gets the opportunity to invade the trials.

Become the Hunter: Use stealth and cunning to stalk your targets from the shadows, unleashing your deadly abilities at the perfect moment.
Surveillance Strategy: Analyze surveillance footage to hone in on the Reagents and devise an effective attack strategy with your fellow Imposters.
Deadly Disguise: Mimic your targets to gain their trust, only to strike when they least expect it.
Backstabbing Combat: Engage in intense close-quarters combat, utilizing quick strikes or a single lethal stab. The pressure mounts as one mistake could lead to your demise within the trial arenas.

Additional Updates and Events

The upcoming update, launching alongside the Invasion Mode, also introduces a host of new content, including the Geister 2025 New Time-Limited Event and a Time-Limited Catalog. Players can look forward to two additional MK-Challenges: Beguile the Children and Investigate the Minotaur, as well as the first appearance of the In-Game Store.
