Every year, new technology and improvements are brought into the world of smartphones, resulting in a continuously shifting landscape. According to the blogger Digital Talk Station, MediaTek, the largest semiconductor maker, is planning to release their most powerful 5G System on Chip (SoC) this year – the Dimensity 9200 Plus.
The Dimensity 9200+, as the name implies, is an improved version of the already formidable Dimensity 9200. It claims to outperform its predecessor thanks to an increase in CPU frequency.
The current Dimensity 9200 SoC includes one X3 mega-core, three A715 big cores, and four A510 tiny cores, with the mega-core primary frequency clocked at 3.05GHz. It also has the powerful Immortalis-G715 GPU.
With the arrival of the Dimensity 9200 Plus, smartphone users can anticipate even more remarkable features and performance from their handsets. This new chip is scheduled to be released by MediaTek in the second half of the year, with OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi said to be among the first to incorporate it in their forthcoming devices.
