The Masked Singer Season 12: Complete List of Contestants Unmasked Tonight

The much-awaited twelfth season of FOX TV’s The Masked Singer kicked off on September 25, 2024. This engaging competition showcases a variety of famous personalities who don elaborate costumes to conceal their identities, while a panel of judges strives to uncover the well-known vocalists behind the masks.

The show employs a voting system where the audience decides which masked contestants to unmask. This season introduces new masked ambassadors and features participants including Leaf Sheep, Show Bird, Ship, and Woodpecker, following the likes of John Elway, Nicole Brown, Paula Cole, and Marsai Martin from previous seasons.

In the fourth episode, airing on October 16, the mystery of one masked singer was solved, revealing Andy Richter under the guise of Dusty Bunny.

Who Took the Stage in Episode 4 of The Masked Singer?

The episode commenced with contestants from Group B, presenting a “Sports Night”theme. Panelists Rita Ora and Robin Thicke enlivened the evening by performing The Scorpions’ “Rock You Like a Hurricane”.

The five new contestants took turns performing popular hits like “Lose Control”, “Rock Your Body”, “Believe”, “Sweet Caroline”, and “We Belong”.

1) Wasp – “Rock Your Body”by Justin Timberlake

The Wasp was the first performer of the evening, with season 10 champion Ne-Yo (The Cow) serving as the masked ambassador. He expressed his support for The Wasp, stating,

“It’s time for The Wasp to enter the game. I’ve known him since his early days, and he took my advice to heart, achieving significant success. I truly believe he has what it takes to win the Golden Mask trophy just like I did in Season 10.”

Despite growing up in a challenging environment, Wasp now performs on grand stages worldwide. His performance included captivating dance moves, and he offered the judges a clue with basketball sneakers.

Judges speculated Wasp’s identity as Jason Derulo, with Robin and Rita guessing Taye Diggs and Jenny suggesting Bruno Mars.

2) Chess Piece – “Believe”by Cher

Fashion icon Nikki Glaser, from Season 8 of The Masked Singer, dressed as a chess piece for this episode.

“I cherish a fashion moment because I never imagined I’d be here. I often felt like a pawn without protection. Despite the doubts people had about me, I had to believe in myself and make decisive moves to achieve my aspirations.”

Hints included tennis shoes and her self-identified tone-deafness that never deterred her love for singing. Panelists guessed her to be Serena Williams (Jenny), Regina King (Ken), and Ashley Graham (Rita).

3) The Lovely Bluebell – “We Belong”by Pat Benatar

Bluebell shared her story, saying,

“Throughout my blossoming career, there were rumors regarding my relationships with celebrities and royalty. However, I found my true love only recently, and I couldn’t be happier. We belong together. Now, I’m here to enjoy my moment.”

Bluebell’s ambassador was Kelly Osbourne, known as Ladybug from Season 2. The panelists were impressed with her performance, speculating she could be Taylor Momsen (Ken), Ellie Goulding (Rita), or Leighton Meester (Robin).

4) Dusty Bunny – “Sweet Caroline”by Neil Diamond

Dusty Bunny introduced himself, recounting his journey:

“I’m Dust Bunny! Singing has always been my secret dream. When I began my career, my role was to make coffee. Later, during a lighting test rehearsal, I was told I had a face for TV, and that changed everything. My co-stars include Anne Hathaway, David Bowie, and Marlon Brando – although that footage remains unseen!”

His masked ambassador was none other than Dick Van Dyke. Although he didn’t perform like a seasoned singer, Dusty Bunny managed to entertain the audience. Judges guessed him to be John C. Reilly (Jenny), Jay Leno (Rita), or Will Ferrell (Ken).

5) Goo – “Lose Control”by Teddy Swims

Goo’s ambassador was Keenan Allen from Season 9. Goo shared insight into his background:

“As a child, I wanted to confront every challenge, but I was deeply sensitive inside. When my older brother took up guitar, it became my escape. I started acapella groups, and through my love for music, I emerged from high school drama.”

After performing, the panel members speculated his identity, suggesting he might be Khalid (Rita), Jon Batiste (Ken), or Shaboozey (Robin) because of his impressive vocal delivery.

The Guess Game

After audience voting, Dusty Bunny was eliminated. Jenny guessed him as John C. Reilly, Rita thought it was Jay Leno, while Robin guessed Chevy Chase, and Ken suggested Will Ferrell. However, none of these guesses proved correct once Dusty Bunny removed his mask to reveal his identity.

It turned out to be Andy Richter, the talented American actor, comedian, writer, and talk show host, famously known for being Conan O’Brien’s sidekick on various talk shows and for starring in Fox’s “Andy Richter Controls the Universe.”
