Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina debuted on October 3, 2024, releasing its initial three episodes exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. This latest installment ignites with Raishan crafting a scheme alongside Vox Machina to take down the formidable Thordak. Throughout the three-episode launch, the members of Vox Machina confront perilous situations while on a quest to recover a powerful artifact.
The official synopsis for Season 3 reads:
“All is at stake in the eagerly anticipated Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina. The devastation unleashed by the Chroma Conclave spreads rapidly, as the Cinder King zeroes in on Vox Machina.”

Cast of The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3
1) Laura Bailey
Laura Bailey lends her voice to Vex’ahlia, affectionately known as “Vex”Vessar. A pivotal member of Vox Machina, Vex is depicted as a half-elf ranger whose life changed dramatically after her mother fell victim to a dragon’s attack, leading her and her twin brother, Vax, to be uprooted from their childhood home.
Bailey is an accomplished voice actress, renowned for her roles as Kid Trunks in the Dragon Ball Z Funimation dub, Emily/Glitter Lucky in Glitter Force, Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket, and Lust in both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
2) Liam O’Brien
Liam O’Brien voices Vax’ildan, affectionately known as “Vax”Vessar. The season kicks off with Vax stealthily exploring Thordak’s lair, where he uncovers dragon eggs, confirming Raishan’s suspicions.
O’Brien’s notable credits include Kenzo Tenma in Monster, Nephrite in Sailor Moon, and roles as Red Skull and Doctor Strange in Marvel Future Avengers.
3) Jaffe of Talies
Taliesin Jaffe brings Percival “Percy”Fredrickstein to life. In the premiere of Season 3, Percy plays a crucial role as he confronts Anna Ripley just as she attempts to escape with the vital plate.
Jaffe is widely recognized for his contributions to video game character voices, including Flash in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Simon Baz in Lego DC Super-Villains, and Highlord Darion Mograine in World of Warcraft: Legion, among others.
4) Ashley Johnson
Ashley Johnson voices Pike Trickfoot, a gnome cleric serving the goddess Everlight, known for her fierce temperament and combat prowess. As a fellow member of Vox Machina, her character adds depth to the team.
Johnson is particularly celebrated for her portrayal of Ellie in The Last of Us game series and has appeared in numerous films, including Much Ado About Nothing and Punching Henry.
5) Marisha Ray
Marisha Ray voices Keyleth of the Air Ashari. Season 3 explores the complex relationship between Vax and Keyleth, which remains professional due to Vax’s worries about their feelings potentially jeopardizing her future.

Matthew Mercer gives voice to Trinket the Bear, who is Vex’s companion after being saved alongside Vax.

7) Lance Reddick
Portrayed by Lance Reddick, Thordak serves as the primary antagonist of Season 3. As a ferocious fire-breathing dragon and leader of the Chroma Conclave, Thordak enters the narrative with Raishan plotting against him.
Reddick, best known for his role as Charon in the John Wick films, sadly passed away on March 17, 2023. In light of his legacy, Sam Riegel, the executive producer and voice of Scanlan, shared with RadioTimes.com on September 30, 2024:
“We maintained contact with his family, and his wife was immensely supportive, ensuring his work continued in the show, which we were delighted to uphold.”
