The highly anticipated Great British Bake Off made its return with series 15, kicking off in the UK on September 24, 2024, followed by the second episode on October 1. Channel 4 summarizes the episode:

“The bakers face the challenges of biscuit week, making Viennese sandwich biscuits in the signature challenge before creating their own biscuit puppet theatre in the showstopper.”

In the second episode, two contestants faced elimination during Biscuit Week. Hazel, the oldest competitor, was sent home after struggling to impress the judges in the Signature Bake, Technical Challenge, and Showstopper. Additionally, Jeff exited the competition during the Technical Challenge due to illness stemming from the previous week.

In the United States, the airing schedule differs slightly, with the premiere of the show airing on September 27, 2024, and the second episode set to be available on Netflix on October 4, 2024. The Great British Bake Off consists of 10 episodes, with the remaining contestants after the second episode being Andy, Christian, Dylan, Georgie, Gill, Illiyin, John, Mike, Nelly, and Sumayah.

During the Technical Challenge, contestants were tasked with making mint cream biscuits. Unfortunately, Jeff had to leave before the challenge started due to feeling lightheaded, marking the end of his journey on The Great British Bake Off. With 12 contestants reduced to 11, the rankings from the judges after the Technical Challenge were as follows:

Sumayah impressed the judges throughout the three challenges, earning the title of Star Baker by blending artistry with delectable flavors in her baked goods, while Hazel was ultimately sent home.

Episode 3 of The Great British Bake Off is slated to premiere in the UK on October 8, with US viewers able to catch it on October 11.
