The Golden Bachelorette Episode 4 Recap: Eliminations and Highlights

The fourth episode of The Golden Bachelorette debuted on October 9 on ABC, spotlighting Joan Voss, the inaugural Golden Bachelorette. Joan is on a quest for love, navigating her way through interactions with 23 hopeful suitors. Throughout the weeks filled with both individual and group dates, she aims to cultivate meaningful relationships with these gentlemen.

At the conclusion of episode 4, Joan distributed her Week 24 roses. Contestants Chock, Jordan, Guy, Pascal, Jonathan, Mark, and Keith made a notable impression on her and were awarded roses, while Gil, Gary, Charles L., and Dan went home empty-handed, resulting in their elimination this week.

Titled “Week 4,”the episode synopsis states:

At 60, Gil is an Educator hailing from Mission Viejo, California. In his introductory bio, he described himself as a “perfect blend of romantic, sweet, and emotional.”

Through his participation in The Golden Bachelorette, Gil aimed to showcase that men can be just as committed and seek similar relationship goals in their later years.

He recently entered retirement and dreams of residing by the beach in Hawaii with his partner. Additionally, Gil boasts juggling skills and enjoys road trips.

Gary, a 65-year-old retired finance executive from Palm Desert, California, mentioned in his bio that he spends his retirement indulging in spin classes, golfing, and watching The View.

A father of two, he expressed that his “dating life has been nonexistent”and is eager to find his soulmate. Gary yearns for a partner who is “kind, caring, and intelligent,”with whom he can explore the world. He also shared a fondness for spas and supporting the USC Trojans.

Charles L.

Charles L., 66 years old, is a retired financial analyst from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In his bio, he expressed he was “ready for a second chance at true love and excited to put himself out there.”

Charles was open to taking risks for love, hoping Joan could resonate with his kind heart, sharp sense of humor, and sweet disposition.

His heartfelt story about the loss of his wife in episode 3 garnered support from contestants and viewers alike. He also enjoys fishing and is a fan of the NBA Finals.
