New Premium DLC and Free Update for The Elder Scrolls Online
In an exciting announcement today, ZeniMax Online Studios unveiled a new premium downloadable content (DLC) pack alongside a free update for the PC and Mac editions of their popular MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online. Console users will need to remain patient as these updates typically roll out after a brief delay.
Introducing “Fallen Banners”DLC
The premium DLC, titled Fallen Banners, features the introduction of two dynamic dungeons: Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt. In Lep Seclusa, players will dive into a gripping narrative where the resident Moth Priests face imminent danger. Here, the devious Orpheon the Tactician plots to usurp the power contained within the Elder Scroll they protect. Adventurers will need to assist Sister Chana in safeguarding the sanctuary from a rogue army of deserters, while also confronting Orpheon to prevent him from harnessing the Elder Scroll’s formidable abilities and altering the destiny of Cyrodiil.
Meanwhile, the Exiled Redoubt dungeon presents a growing mystery as soldiers from various alliances vanish without a trace, all linking back to a looming Imperial fortress. Players will partner with Battlemage Lucilla in a stealthy mission to uncover the dark designs of a once-revered Imperial House before their sinister plot spreads across Tamriel.

Rewards Await
Those successful in overcoming the challenges of Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt will have the opportunity to acquire a variety of exclusive rewards. This includes new collectibles, item sets, and Achievements, highlighted by the coveted Tactician’s Gold Grate Skin available for completion of both dungeons on Veteran difficulty.
Update 45: A Fresh Look
Alongside the DLC, players will benefit from the game’s 45th free update, which brings a significant visual overhaul to several Starter Zones, including Bleakrock Isle, Bal Foyen, Stros M’kai, Betnikh, and Khenarthi’s Roost. Enhancements include improved lighting, upgraded textures for both ground and water, restructured environments, and the introduction of more props to enrich the immersive experience.

Additional Enhancements
Beyond cosmetic improvements, Update 45 introduces various balance adjustments, the beginning stages of console add-on support (scheduled for a complete rollout later this year), and new dialogue options for player interactions with NPCs, aimed at enhancing the overall roleplaying experience. Looking Ahead
Earlier this year, ZeniMax made headlines by announcing a shift in The Elder Scrolls Online’s content strategy, moving from yearly Chapters to a seasonal release model. Fans can look forward to an upcoming ESO Direct on April 10, where ZeniMax will unveil more information about the game’s future directions and content.
