Season 7 of The Circle made its highly anticipated return to Netflix with episodes 9-12 on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The acclaimed social media competition series concluded episode 8 on a gripping cliffhanger, where the then-influencers Kevin and Gianna, known as Nicky and Jojo, faced a dilemma on whom to block, caught in an impasse since Kevin aimed to eliminate Gianna’s ally, Darian.
In episode 9, however, Kevin successfully persuaded Gianna to block Darian, agreeing to take full responsibility for the decision. After Darian’s elimination, the duo formed a covert alliance, pledging to support one another until the very end.
Episode 10, titled “A Circle Trilogy,” showcased Kevin and Gianna solidifying their alliance as they strategized on their next targets. Meanwhile, Jadejha sought to gauge Tierra’s loyalties in the competition by sharing personal anecdotes about her childhood and grandparents. Later, the players engaged in a game titled Pick 3, where they disclosed the three items they couldn’t imagine living without.
As Rachel contemplated her options between Madelyn and Garret, Kevin and Gianna emerged as the top-rated influencers following the latest ratings.
The official synopsis for The Circle episode 10 stated:
“As new alliances emerge, two players deepen their connection. With ratings looming, a spirited game uncovers what the group can’t live without.”
What happened in The Circle season 7 episode 10?
Following Darian’s elimination, the remaining seven contestants scrambled to strengthen their alliances. The episode commenced with Kevin inviting Gianna for a private discussion regarding their next target. Gianna expressed that Rachel posed her biggest challenge, while Kevin identified Jadejha and Garret as his main competitors.
The pair determined that if Garret was eliminated, they could significantly weaken Jadejha’s standing in the game. Consequently, they decided to rate Garret last and shift their focus toward Rachel and Jadejha. Despite noticing Kevin’s strategy against allies Jadejha and Rachel, Gianna agreed, recognizing it as the only way to eliminate stronger players in her path.
In another segment, The Circle contestant Antonio, who plays as Tierra, tried to establish rapport with Jadejha by revealing aspects of his past. However, Jadejha was hesitant to build an alliance with Tierra, not wanting to appear antagonistic. During an emotional exchange, Antonio shared how his mother had saved him during his difficult childhood in foster care.
“I do miss my mom now,”Antonio expressed.
Jadejha reciprocated Antonio’s openness by sharing her recent loss of her grandfather to cancer, which had deeply affected her. With a strong sense of responsibility, she felt compelled to “be somebody”despite her emotional pull toward Tierra.
The players then participated in the Pick 3 game, where they selected three essential items from a list of fifteen. While some responses were rather common, others sparked debates among the contestants. Rachel’s choices, “Social media, s*x, pets,”caught everyone off guard, while Jadejha’s selections of “Gym, Therapy, Sleeping”did not resonate as strongly.
Interestingly, Kevin was the only contestant who cited “money”as one of his three essential items. Post-game, Madelyn sought out Rachel for a private conversation, attempting to uncover her next target. After some negotiation, they both agreed to target Garret.
During their dialogue, Garret pulled Rachel aside, confessing that Tierra seemed the least trustworthy among the contestants. He praised Rachel’s gameplay and expressed his desire for them to reach the finale together. As Rachel’s emotional connection with Garret deepened, her loyalty towards Madelyn began to wane.
“Rachel cannot be the one to block Garret,”she concluded.
As the contestants began rating one another, the results revealed that Kevin and the Scarlotta twins, posing as Gianna, had become influencers for the third time, while Garret was placed at the bottom of the ratings.
This led the influencers to deliberate on whom to block. Immediately, Rachel, Madelyn, and Tierra were eliminated from their consideration as they saw value in keeping them around. Ultimately, they found themselves at a crossroads, needing to choose between Jadejha and Garret.
Despite Kevin advocating for Jadejha’s elimination, Gianna opposed this plan, treating her as their strongest ally. Kevin attempted to reason with her, arguing that Garret did not pose a threat, which should ease the decision.
“I understand you have an alliance with Jadejha. However, Garret was last in ratings and poses no threat. Period,”Kevin asserted.
Though Gianna acknowledged Kevin’s logic, she expressed her hesitation to appear as an “alliance breaker.”
Meanwhile, within the At Risk chat, the remaining contestants deliberated on Kevin and Gianna’s third consecutive influencer status. Both Tierra and Garret admitted they were missing a key element regarding Kevin and Gianna’s strength.
As the influencers prepared to reveal their decision, the episode came to a suspenseful cliffhanger, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the outcome.
The finale of The Circle season 7 is scheduled to premiere on October 2, 2024, exclusively on Netflix.
