The Bloodline banned, major rule change – 4 last-minute changes WWE could make to WrestleMania 40

Despite WrestleMania taking place in Philadelphia this weekend and the card seemingly finalized, WWE still has the opportunity to make last-minute changes before Saturday evening.

Recent episodes of WWE RAW and SmackDown have dropped subtle hints about possible changes in the works. If these changes come to fruition, it could lead to some exciting plans for the show.

Only four last-minute changes to the WrestleMania 40 card are considered in the following list.

#4. WWE Universal Championship Fatal 4-Way Match

This weekend at WrestleMania, Gunther will face off against Sami Zayn in a defense of his Intercontinental Championship. Throughout the buildup to the match, the focus has been on Chad Gable, who has been helping Zayn prepare for the mind games of his opponent, The Ring General. However, despite Gable’s efforts, Zayn has yet to show any improvement in dealing with Gunther’s mind games.

The desire for Chad Gable to be included in the match has been mounting, as he has voiced his need for a rematch against Gunther. Many believe that this could provide a way for Gunther to lose his title without being defeated. With only one episode of RAW remaining before WrestleMania, the potential for a change to be made on the show is high.

#3. Bayley and Iyo Sky Face Off in a No Disqualification Match

The highly personal feud between Bayley and Iyo Sky will come to a head at WrestleMania as they compete for the Women’s Championship. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Bayley shocked everyone by launching a surprise attack on Iyo Sky backstage. With both women now having reinforcements, it would add an intriguing element if a no-disqualification stipulation is incorporated into the match.

This week on WWE SmackDown, Damage CTRL faced their toughest opponents yet and will now have a chance to prove themselves at WrestleMania against Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Naomi. As they are all featured on the card, it is anticipated that they will all play a role in the Women’s Championship match.

#2. United States Championship Ladder match

At WrestleMania, the triple-threat match for the United States Championship will feature Logan Paul, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. Leading up to the event, the focus has been on the ongoing tensions between Logan Paul and his opponents. On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Logan Paul managed to escape and leave the arena.

Despite the lack of rules in a triple-threat match, there is nothing stopping Logan Paul from fleeing his scheduled match at WrestleMania or having his friends interfere and hand him his brass knuckles once again. To prevent any outside interference and ensure that Paul cannot escape, a steel cage would be an effective solution.

#1. The Bloodline Excluded from Ringside on Night One

The Bloodline will play a significant role in WrestleMania, as both The Rock and Roman Reigns are expected to headline Night One, while Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will headline Night Two. The outcome of Saturday’s match will determine The Bloodline’s involvement in the main event between Reigns and Rhodes, making it only fair that they are prohibited from ringside during the Tag Team main event.

To ensure a fair two-on-two main event and avoid any controversy regarding interference, Jey Uso should also be excluded from participating in the match.
