It’s important to note that these chips are finite and cannot be crafted or researched; instead, they must be discovered throughout the game’s acts by exploring the planet.
Qubit Chips: Acquisition and Usage
Qubit Chips are situated on the planet’s surface, typically in areas that require gear upgrades to access. In Act One, for instance, you’ll need to craft a Climbing Hook and a Vertara Drill to reach the location of your first potential chip.
While some Qubit Chips may be considered missable, thorough exploration of each area generally rewards diligent players with the resources they seek.
Once you locate a chip, it won’t be ready for use right away. A conversation with Jan Scientist will inform you that the chip must be serviced at the Workshop Module before it can be utilized.
