“That to me, shrinks your suspect pool pretty good”— Crime Scene Investigator Links Diddy to Tupac Shakur’s Death

Sheryl McCollum, the crime scene investigator linked to Tupac Shakur, has raised questions regarding Sean “Diddy”Combs’ possible involvement in both the rapper’s murder in 1996 and a prior shooting incident in 1994.

During a conversation with NewsNation on October 4, 2024, McCollum shared her theory that the roots of Tupac’s untimely demise can be traced back to the earlier shooting, pointing to Combs’ potential connection to both cases.

Tupac was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting following a boxing event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 1996. In her recent discussion, McCollum drew notable parallels between the two events:

“On both occasions that Tupac was shot, he found himself cornered… He was trapped in an elevator and then later confined in a vehicle. He had literally nowhere to escape.”

Another point of concern presented by McCollum is the absence of video footage in both shooting cases.

“Ironically, neither crime scene has any video evidence,” she noted. “This indicates that someone close to him was aware of his location, time, and circumstances on both days, which significantly narrows down the potential suspects. Only a very limited number of individuals would have known where he was at those times.”

While both Combs and Biggie Smalls distanced themselves from any connection to Tupac’s murder, Biggie was killed in 1997, and his case similarly remains unresolved.

Investigator Questions Diddy’s Role in Tupac’s 1994 Shooting Incident

Sheryl McCollum further elaborated on the 1994 shooting that took place during a robbery at Quad Studios in Times Square, New York, where Tupac was shot multiple times. Reportedly, Sean “Diddy”Combs was present in the studio along with approximately 40 others, all of whom emerged without injury.

McCollum questioned the logic behind the scenario:

“You don’t have to shoot someone multiple times to steal their jewelry and cash… How is it that Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs and his crew of 40 were unharmed? It doesn’t make sense that one individual would be targeted while the other 40 remained unscathed, especially when many would have had more valuables.”

Following this incident, Tupac accused Biggie Smalls, Bad Boy Records, and Diddy of being complicit in the attack, suggesting that their lack of concern upon his bloodied arrival at the studio raised alarm. In a 1995 interview with Vibe Magazine, the late rapper stated:

“Nobody came to help me. I noticed no one looked me in the eye… Puffy was also standing back. I had helped Biggie before he gained fame, so I expected more.”

McCollum’s remarks follow a report from Page Six in July, which detailed that Tupac’s family is contemplating legal action against Combs for wrongful death.

“Individuals from Diddy’s past are stepping forward with information,” claimed an insider.

The family has enlisted the services of prominent attorney Alex Spiro, known for his representation of Elon Musk and Megan Thee Stallion, to explore the potential links between Diddy and Tupac’s assassination.

Additionally, Duane “Keefe D”Davis, a former gang leader charged in connection with Tupac’s murder in September 2023, alleged in a 2009 interview that Combs had placed a $1 million bounty on Tupac during an interview with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Davis, whose trial is slated to commence in March 2025, has claimed that Combs orchestrated the plot, a claim that Diddy has persistently denied.

In 2008, following a report alleging that Diddy’s associates were behind the 1994 shooting, Combs vehemently refuted the claims in a public statement:

“That narrative is an absolute fabrication. It is utterly ludicrous and false. Neither I nor the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. had any prior knowledge of the attack. I find it shocking that the Los Angeles Times would publish such a baseless story.”

With ongoing investigations intensifying around Diddy, who now faces charges of racketeering and sexual trafficking, the federal indictment filed last month alleges that Combs led a vast criminal enterprise over many years, with 12 victims bringing civil sexual abuse lawsuits against him.

Currently, only Duane “Keefe D”Davis has been charged in connection with Tupac’s murder, with his trial scheduled for 2025. Meanwhile, the music industry continues to seek clarity, leaving any involvement of Diddy as speculation while legal proceedings unfold.
