Chinese electronics giant Tecno has launched a new entry-level smartphone in the Indian market, known as the Tecno Pop 5 Pro, with an affordable starting price of just INR 8,499 ($115).
Starting from the front, the new Tecno Pop 5 Pro features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a modest HD+ screen resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Other than that, there is also a 5MP front camera that helps with selfies and video calls.
There is a rectangular camera module on the back of the phone that may look like there are three cameras, but it ends up being a single 8MP camera driven by an LED flash.
Under the hood of the Tecno Pop 5 Pro is a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core chipset, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
To keep the lights on, the Tecno Pop 5 Pro packs a massive 6000mAh battery that doesn’t seem to have any kind of fast charging support. In terms of software, the phone will ship with HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition.
