Tales of Graces F Remastered: A Guide to Utilizing Mystic Artes

Tales of Graces F features a dynamic Artes system that combines minor and major attacks, as well as magic. Among these are the Mystic Artes, the most powerful abilities at a character’s disposal. Players can unlock these formidable attacks by progressing significantly in the game’s storyline.

Similar to the Limit Break mechanics found in the Final Fantasy series, Mystic Artes can be executed in combination with minor and major Artes to deliver devastating finishing moves. However, players must remain vigilant as some bosses also possess their own Mystic Artes, underscoring the importance of strategy and timing for effective use in combat.

Unlocking Mystic Artes in Tales of Graces F Remastered

Asbel's Mystic Artes - Stampede Strike

Asbel, the main protagonist, will first unlock his Mystic Artes in Chapter 3 after he visits Duke Dalen’s mansion located in Gralsyde. Following a significant conversation regarding plans to reclaim the throne from the usurper Cedric, Asbel earns the title of Sword of the King. This title grants access to his inaugural Level 1 Mystic Arte, known as Stampede Strike.

Additionally, both Pascal and Richard will have their Level 1 Mystic Artes accessible after exploring the ruins. As the narrative unfolds, players can unlock further Mystic Artes by obtaining new titles, marked with sword icons next to them, throughout the game.

Using Mystic Artes in Combat

Eleth Level for Mystic Artes Usage

Mystic Artes can only be triggered during battles and are categorized into three levels. To execute a Mystic Arte, players must attack during an Eleth Burst, which empowers the character’s attacks. If a player has unlocked a Level 3 Mystic Arte, it will activate automatically. Follow these steps to utilize Mystic Artes effectively:

  • Keep an eye on the Eleth Gauge displayed on the left side of your screen.
  • The Eleth Gauge for your party is blue, while the opposing enemies’ gauge is represented in red.
  • Once the gauge fills, it will trigger an Eleth Burst.
  • To activate a Mystic Arte, hold down the assigned button: L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox, L on Nintendo Switch, or V on the keyboard during a combo.
