Taiwanese Server Giant Quanta Recieves Huge NVIDIA GB200 AI GPU Orders From Google, Amazon & Meta

Quanta, the Taiwan-based server company, has been granted massive OEM orders for NVIDIA’s GB200 AI servers due to the technology’s appeal to prominent tech companies.

NVIDIA’s High-End AI Server Priced at $3 Million Could Boost Server Market Revenue Significantly

Quanta is a well-known player in the server industry, and this Taiwanese corporation has been at the forefront of providing AI servers to various major tech companies around the world.

The company experienced significant demand for its NVIDIA Hopper-based AI servers in the previous year. With the launch of the new Blackwell GB200 AI platform, it appears that the company will continue to see high demand and potentially larger profits. The Blackwell-based servers are expected to be more expensive, leading to increased profitability ratios for Quanta.

According to Taiwan Economic Daily, Quanta has received substantial orders for NVIDIA’s Blackwell GB200 AI servers from major companies such as Google, Amazon AWS, and Meta. These servers are expected to enter the testing phase in July or August and go into mass production in September. This could potentially result in the first batch of products being released in late 2024 or early 2025. Additionally, it is estimated that each unit of NVIDIA’s single GB200 AI server will cost between $2 million to $3 million, which could have a significant impact on the overall revenue of the server industry.

Quanta’s server portfolio advancements are far from over. In addition to adopting the new NVIDIA Blackwell GB200 AI lineup, the company has plans to incorporate a range of new technologies into its AI servers. One such technology is liquid-cooled stations, as the power consumption of the new chips from Team Green has skyrocketed. This move away from conventional cooling systems is deemed necessary by NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang himself.
