SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s Collaborative History

As fans ponder the possibility of SZA being featured in Kendrick Lamar’s rumored album, it’s important to recognize their history of collaboration. Kendrick first lent his vocals to SZA’s track “Babylon,”released under Top Dawg Entertainment in 2014. This collaboration was followed by “All the Stars,”which debuted in January 2018, quickly rising to prominence and securing nominations at both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

The song achieved incredible chart success and garnered several accolades, including the MTV Video Music Awards, Black Reel Awards, and NAACP Image Awards.

Kendrick was also featured in SZA’s “Doves in the Wind,”released in June 2017. Additionally, their collaboration extended to Jay Rock’s “Easy Bake,”which hit the shelves in September 2015.

Currently, Kendrick Lamar is riding high on the success of his diss track “Like That,”aimed at Drake and launched in March of this year. A remix featuring Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign received significant attention in April, alongside breaking streaming records, landing atop the Billboard Hot 100.

This year has seen Kendrick roll out more singles, including “Meet the Grahams,””6:16 in LA,””Not Like Us,”and “Euphoria,”many of which also feature themes targeting Drake in response to the latter’s numerous tracks.

While anticipation for Kendrick Lamar’s new album continues to build on social media, the artist himself has yet to officially confirm its release. Fans are eagerly waiting for updates concerning the release date, tracklist, and potential collaborations.
