In the enchanting world of Sword Of The Sea, players are treated to a delightful scavenger hunt as they seek out numerous hidden white shells expertly concealed by the Giant Squid. While the thrill of a collect-a-thon can be exhilarating, some of these shells can prove to be quite elusive.
Typically, most levels feature around ten shells for players to collect. However, Forbidden Valley and Frozen Drifts break this trend, each containing only a single shell to discover. This streamlined approach is likely beneficial, as both levels involve navigating on the backs of either a dolphin or a shark, which can be challenging companions during exploration.
If you’re finding it difficult to locate the shells in these specific levels, fear not—I’m here to guide you through the search.
Forbidden Valley Shell

Starting with Forbidden Valley, players will find themselves riding a dolphin throughout the level. The shell is located in the final section, allowing you to enjoy most of the gameplay without any worries. You’ll encounter the concluding area right after riding a geyser upwards.
It’s crucial to find the shell before finishing the level. Once you complete the game, backtracking becomes impossible until you unlock Chapter Select. Avoid the second geyser at all costs, as taking that will transition you to the next level.
To begin your search, break the green crystals to leap up the first set of waterfalls. You’ll notice a prominent waterfall to your right, behind which lies a stair step path leading to a higher vantage point. Look back toward the entrance, and you will spot the shell resting atop a stone tower, as illustrated above.

Reaching the shell is relatively straightforward. At the elevated area you discovered by following the stair step path, you’ll find a lantern patch. Lighting this lantern spawns a jellyfish that will float between the plateau and the tower holding the shell.

Simply time your jump onto the jellyfish, which will launch you across the gap, propelling you directly to the shell. After claiming your prize, you can proceed to complete the level—nothing else remains hidden in Forbidden Valley.
Frozen Drifts Shell

Moving on to Frozen Drifts, this level replaces the dolphin with a great white shark. As with the previous level, there is only one shell, once again located at the very end. You can enjoy exploring most of this area without specifically hunting for the shell.
Approaching the final area, you’ll notice the striking shift to transparent, slick ice, indicating you’re nearing the end. The rest of the level is predominantly covered in snow, making this slippery section stand out even more.
Your objective is a giant red tower situated at the back of this icy domain. Once at the tower, descend the rear side of the mountain where you’ll find a cluster of lanterns waiting at the base.

After lighting the lanterns, a path will emerge from the clouds, leading you towards a giant sword and ultimately, your long-sought shell.

There’s no hidden difficulty here; just grab the shell and finish the level to advance. With these tips, you’re well-equipped to enhance your gameplay experience in Sword Of The Sea.
