In the latest installment of Survivor Season 47, Episode 4, titled Is That Blood in Your Hair, the Luvo tribe faced yet another setback in the immunity challenge, landing them in a tricky position where they had to eliminate one of their own members.
Viewers were on the edge of their seats during a dramatic tribal council, leading to the departure of 28-year-old ER physician Kishan Patel. Utilizing his ‘steal a vote’ advantage, Rome Cooney maneuvered the game to ensure his safety and Patel’s exit.
After losing the immunity challenge for the second consecutive week, the Luvo tribe found themselves weakened and at a disadvantage compared to the Gata and Tuku tribes. As the season unfolds, interpersonal dynamics are tested further with the introduction of new game mechanics, heightening the already tense atmosphere.
Survivor Episode 4: Details on the Elimination
In this episode, all three tribes felt the heat, particularly regarding the pursuit and safeguarding of immunity idols and strategic advantages.
Sue Smey from the Tuku tribe successfully uncovered a hidden immunity idol, ensuring her safety for the immediate future, although this act sowed seeds of distrust among her fellow tribe members. Conversely, the Luvo tribe once again struggled during the immunity challenge, clinching last place and facing elimination at the tribal council.
The majority alliance within the Luvo tribe, which included Rome, Teeny, Kishan, and Genevieve, held the power as voting began. Despite Aysha’s reluctance to turn against her ally Sol, she ultimately garnered the most votes in a split decision. Tensions also brewed between Sol and Rome, primarily due to Rome’s aggressive strategies.
With Rome Cooney’s steal-a-vote advantage in hand, he was able to influence the vote significantly. Although there had been previous friction with Solomon Sol Yi, the focus shifted, and the majority of votes were directed at Kishan Patel instead.
Cooney’s advantage shifted the tide of power, sealing Patel’s fate and leaving the Luvo tribe with only four members as they head into Episode 5.
