Surface Pro 10 Business Update: Fixes for Keyboard and Trackpad Issues

Microsoft has rolled out significant updates for the Surface Pro 10 for Business as part of the September 2024 update. This latest firmware upgrade addresses various issues, including the malfunctioning keyboard and trackpad, problems with waking the device from sleep mode using the power button, charging issues with the Slim Pen, audio crackling, and the non-functioning Caps Lock LED.

Below is the official changelog:

  • Fixes issues with keypresses and touchpad functionality while connected to the device.
  • Resolves the issue of requiring a long press on the power button instead of a simple tap or key press to wake the device from sleep mode.
  • Adds a fix for the Slim Pen that would charge unexpectedly when the device woke from sleep, thus affecting power consumption.
  • Addresses audio crackling issues during Microsoft Teams calls.
  • Fixes the Caps Lock LED not indicating its ON/OFF status, even though the key worked properly.
  • Resolves an issue where double letters would be missed when typing quickly.
