Surface Book 3 Firmware Update: New Network Drivers and Enhanced Security Improvements

The third-generation Surface Book is the only model that supports Windows 11 and represents the last iteration of its unique design. Recently, it received a significant firmware update that includes a new Surface UEFI update along with updated Intel Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers.

According to the published changelog, this update addresses various security vulnerabilities. Unlike the latest update for the Intel-based Surface Laptop 4, which outlines specific security issues that have been patched, the current update for the Surface Book 3 does not provide detailed information on what vulnerabilities were resolved.

The Surface Book 3 is currently in its final year of support. As per official documentation, Microsoft plans to stop releasing firmware updates for the Surface Book 3 on April 1, 2025. However, the device will continue to receive operating system updates and new features.
