Support for AMD’s Unreleased Radeon RX 7300 in AIDA64: Is AMD Set to Launch Entry-Level RDNA 3 Graphics Cards?

Recent updates in the AIDA64 application hint at the existence of the Radeon RX 7300 graphics card, which has yet to be officially announced by AMD. This development showcases the ongoing interest in entry-level GPUs from the tech community.

AIDA64 Confirms Existence of Radeon RX 7300

In previous reports, AMD was expected to unveil two budget-friendly RDNA 3 GPUs, namely the Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300. However, these anticipated releases have not materialized as expected. Despite this, new evidence suggests that the RX 7300 may indeed be in development, as indicated by a recent database update from AIDA64.

AIDA64, a renowned hardware monitoring tool, has officially added the Radeon RX 7300 to its supported GPU list. This inclusion was first observed by @Olrak29_, in the latest beta version 7.65.7415 of AIDA64 Extreme. The report specifically lists the “NAVI 33″architecture associated with this GPU, corroborating earlier information shared by leaker Komachi Ensaka.

This new update may suggest that AMD has not abandoned its plans for RDNA 3-based entry-level graphics cards in the RX 7000 series. Alternatively, it’s possible that the RX 7300 could be developed exclusively for OEM markets and not be available for direct consumer purchases. Unlike its predecessor, the RX 6000 series, which featured budget options like the RX 6500 XT and RX 6400, the RX 7000 series has not yet introduced any entry-level alternatives since AMD has opted to focus on higher-end models like the RX 9000 series.

The RX 7300 is anticipated to feature the first X300-class architecture within the RDNA lineup, boasting an expected range of 640 to 896 stream processors, alongside 4GB or 6GB of VRAM and a memory bus of either 64 or 96 bits. Its pricing is likely to fall between $100 and $130. On the other hand, the RX 7400 has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to include 6GB of VRAM and between 1024 to 1536 stream processors.

Designed as entry-level solutions, these GPUs are expected to function without requiring additional external power connections, making them suitable for everyday tasks or for managing multiple monitors, thereby enhancing productivity. With regards to the RX 9000 series, which is built on the RDNA 4 architecture, information regarding potential X300 and X400 class GPUs remains scarce, although the recent appearance of the Radeon RX 9050 on a website indicates that AMD may still pursue affordable GPU options in the future.
