For those looking to avoid the hassle of refreshing social media feeds, Warner Bros. has clarified that the official trailer showcasing David Corenswet as Superman will go live on Thursday, December 19, at 6 AM PST. Fans can expect a significant increase in online activity as anticipation builds.
In addition to the teaser, Monday brought further insights from James Gunn and his team. They also released an official poster featuring Corenswet soaring through the skies. Accompanying the poster, a musical piece thought by some to be John Murphy’s rendition of the iconic Superman theme adds to the excitement. However, it remains uncertain whether the classic John Williams score will be retained in the film.
Once the official trailer is released, it will signal the final six-month countdown to the film’s premiere. Notably, this film will not restart Superman’s origin but will dive into his established identity as the Man of Steel. In addition to Corenswet, the film boasts a stellar cast including Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult portraying Lex Luthor, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.
Superman is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
