Superman & Lois Season 4 Episode 4: Is Jonathan Kent Becoming the New Superboy?

The Return of Superman

Even though Clark is back, Superman’s return is still under wraps. In this episode, Jordan uses his abilities to locate Cheryl Kimble and tells Jonathan to accompany Lois to her. Cheryl tells Lois that she can protect her if she provides information about Lex Luthor, but Cheryl ultimately refuses the offer.

Later, Jordan discovers a fire in a Metropolis building and directs Jonathan to assist the trapped individuals, only for it to be revealed as a trap set by Luthor, who aims to eliminate Cheryl. As one of Luthor’s goons takes on Jonathan, Superman intervenes to save him, risking exposure of his return to the public. Clark manages to send the attacker to the Department of Defense to maintain secrecy.

The episode concludes with the festive atmosphere surrounding Chrissy and Kyle’s celebration as Clark and Lois head home to rest. Jordan dedicates his Superboy outfit to Jonathan, indicating he needs time for self-discovery.

However, it appears the media has already caught wind of Superman’s comeback, hinting that the world is becoming cognizant of his return.
